Mercury Prize-nominated UK composer/producer Maps shares a Mark Peters (Engineers/Ulrich Schnauss) mix of the expansive orchestral gem “Surveil.” Listen here.

Maps will take to the stage for the Sonic Cathedral 15th Anniversary show at Bush Hall in London on November 4 with support from Mark Peters and special guest DJ James Holden. Tickets available here.

“Surveil” is taken from Maps’ critically acclaimed fourth album Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss. The record – released in May 2019 through Mute – was scored and produced by Maps himself. It features stunning, immersive and impressionistic songs with an orchestral approach – including collaborations with the likes of Echo Collective – and was inspired by the peaceful, isolated Northamptonshire countryside beyond the window of his studio.

As a part of the MUTE 40 (1978 > TOMORROW) series, the first two acclaimed Maps albums, We Can Create (2007) and Turning the Mind (2009), have been released as a special edition reissue on green and orange transparent vinyl, respectively.

Maps has remixed Depeche Mode, M83, Public Service Broadcasting, Susanne Sundfør, C Duncan, and more.
