UNIFORM release new video - US tour w/ Portrayal of Guilt kicks off next month - Announce EU/UK tour

UNIFORM SHARE NEW VIDEO “THE SHADOW OF GOD’S HAND”
FROM SHAME - OUT NOW VIA SACRED BONES

U.S. TOUR KICKS OFF NEXT MONTH WITH PORTRAYAL OF GUILT

ANNOUNCE SPRING 2022 EU TOUR
Press Photo By Ebru Yildiz

NYC industrial trail blazers Uniform have released a new video, The Shadow of God’s Hand” just ahead of embarking on their first U.S. tour since the release of their lauded 2020 heavy-hitter, Shame. Vocalist Michael Berdan explains, “The central theme behind ‘The Shadow of God’s Hand’ are the inherent contradictions present in conventional Christianity. I was brought up with this idea of ‘act right or you’re going to hell.’ I’ve listened to family members as they worried themselves to tears over the fate of a loved one’s soul. To me, the concept of a punitive God is antithetical to the comfort I derive from a spiritual practice. Does God serve to comfort or chastise? Does following Christ’s teachings serve to create a kinder, more equitable world or have those teachings become so perverted that they simply stand as tools of control? For many, there is a fine line in their belief structure between salvation and damnation. This song attempts to touch on these paradoxes.”

The video,  directed by John Bradburn, is available today. Watch / Share:

Advertisement Release New Single "The Matador" via Fire Talk Records / Open Tab -- Listen / Share Now

ADVERTISEMENT RELEASE NEW SINGLE
“THE MATADOR” VIA FIRE TALK RECORDS / OPEN TAB

Advertisement masterfully reimagine what guitar dominated music can accomplish -- intentionally pushing at the boundaries of what a rock band could or should be in 2021. While they don’t distance themselves from the title of “rock band” itself, they ask what else it might be capable of, injecting the genre with a sense of wide-eyed imagination and witty difficulty.

Just after the release of their lauded debut LP, American Advertisement, which NME called “one of the best debut albums to come out of the US in 2020,” and their dynamic Freedom EP, they hit us with new single, “The Matador”. Available today digitally on Fire Talk imprint Open Tab“The Matador” is all about “being perceived by others as something different than you perceive yourself.” It continues the band’s own cheeky nod to carefree blues and grooves, while the effervescent charm and easy chemistry of the six piece come together to create an inescapably charming and danceable track that serves up a perfect slice of golden hour nostalgia.

RECENT PRAISE FOR ADVERTISEMENT:

“an uncommonly melodic brand of vintage sleaze-rock with frazzled grooves and dueling guitars… Most punk bands wait until album number three or four before they start dabbling in Crazy Horse sprawl and citing the Grateful Dead as an influence, but Advertisement’s attitude seems to be, why wait?” - PITCHFORK

“Chaotic rock anthems with Stones-sized swagger” - NME

“both nostalgic and of-the-moment; nostalgic for the delight in guitar-driven rock and roll” - CONSEQUENCE

"Sprawling, proggy" - FLOOD

“Advertisement will definitely satisfy those looking for some no-frills rock ‘n’ roll”
- NEW NOISE

The Matador Lyrics:

Living in the world can be oh-so real
With shimmering tap dancers trying to cut a deal
That’s why I sit here on a plate like steel
And kill all of these hogs running to me lying here

But oh, what a dance!
You really don’t even ever dance
And then the knife goes in

I was born a dago in the back of a GTO
The pharmacists with needles ended up no-shows

All said and done it’s a pretty good deal

There only is one option living like we do
Ending up a Christian conservative
With your whole death ahead of you
And find yourself a killer at the nighttime fair

But oh, what a dance!
You really don’t even ever dance

I would say it’s a pretty good deal

More About Advertisement:

Emerging from the same PNW scene that gave us Milk Music and Gun Outfit, Advertisement quickly grew to become one of the underground’s must see bands known for their elaborate, free performances that’d often feature 6 - 7 members onstage. Advertisement began as an interconnected group of childhood friends growing up on the fringes of the Seattle area. Inspired by the increasingly stark juxtaposition between Seattle’s booming, tech-fueled urbanism and the landscape’s natural beauty, guitarists Charlie HoffmanCarl Marck, and Ryan Mangione and drummer TJ Main recollected with the intention of creating imaginative ways to escape the endlessly anxiety provoking flow of modern life. With the addition of pianist Jesse RosenthalAdvertisement’s songwriting process naturally augmented towards an increasingly fluid approach, in which fully fabricated song structures were shunned in favor of the slow development of single ideas through repeated layering. Having relocated to Los Angeles amidst the calamity of 2020, the band is now more eager than ever to continue reimagining what modern life can be.

GHOST “HUNTER’S MOON” SINGLE & VIDEO OUT NOW

GHOST
“HUNTER’S MOON”

SINGLE & VIDEO OUT NOW

First New GHOST Track In 2 Years To Be Featured In HALLOWEEN KILLS

2022 U.S Arena Tour Tickets On Sale Now

A series of inspired encounters between creative forces from various worlds of sound and vision has resulted in “Hunter’s Moon,” the infectious first new track from GHOST since 2019’s Seven Inches Of Satanic Panic, and its phantasmagoric video directed by Amanda Demme.

The genesis of “Hunter’s Moon” can be traced back to GHOST’s November 16, 2018 show at the Forum in Los Angeles. Ryan Turek, Vice President of Feature Film Development at  Blumhouse Productions (Get Out, Insidious, The Purge, Us, Whiplash) attended the sold-out show, striking up an instant rapport with GHOST’s Tobias Forge — one that developed quickly and deeply via meetings, podcast appearances, and ultimately a visit with co-writer and director David Gordon Green on the North Carolina set of the upcoming Halloween Kills.

Three years nearly to the day since that first fateful exchange, GHOST’s “Hunter’s Moon” has materialized on DSPs, will play as the Halloween Kills end credits roll, and will be released January 21, 2022 as a collectible 7-inch single by Loma Vista Recordings. “Hunter’s Moon” can be streamed, purchased, and/or pre-ordered in its vinyl incarnation HERE. The retail version of the 7-inch will feature the special B-side “Halloween Kills (Main Title),” performed, produced and engineered by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies.

In other GHOST news, the GRAMMY-winning Swedish band recently announced its 2022 return to the States for a 26-city arena tour, on which GHOST will be co—headlining with Volbeat and closing the show every night of the tour. Formidable rock trio The Velveteers unveil new single + video "Father of Lies"; Dan Auerbach-produced debut

THE VELVETEERS SHARE NEW SINGLE + VIDEO “FATHER OF LIES”
DAN AUERBACH-PRODUCED DEBUT ALBUM NIGHTMARE DAYDREAM OUT OCTOBER 8 VIA EASY EYE SOUND
TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR FALL 2021
TOUR SUPPORTING DES ROCS
September 30, 2021—Formidable rock trio The Velveteers share their new single and video “Father of Lies” today; listen/watch HERE. The track, which premiered yesterday with Flood Magazine, is off the band’s debut album, Nightmare Daydream, produced by GRAMMY Award-winning artist Dan Auerbach and due October 8 via Easy Eye Sound; pre-order and stream HERE. The band is on tour now as the sole support for genre-bending rocker Des Rocs; order tickets HERE.
“‘Father of Lies’ is about having a little devil who likes to sit on your shoulder and whisper in your ear. It’s about battling the evil voices in your head,” says lead singer/guitarist Demi Demitro. “The chorus instrumental guitar riff is one of my favorite riffs on the album because I think it really embodies this sort of heaviness that the song carries.” The track follows “Brightest Light,”  “Motel #27,” which Under the Radar called “fresh, nasty, and primal” and the album’s lead single “Charmer And The Snake.”
The Velveteers, made up of Demitro and dual drummers Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig, opened for Guns N’ Roses last month at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO, underscoring their reputation for uniquely energetic live performances. Westword praised the show in their recent cover story about the band, writing: “Audience members around me were mesmerized as Fig and Pottersmith smashed their drums in sync and Demitro sang with unparalleled intensity” and further calling Nightmare Daydream “heavy, raw and filled with the spit-and-fire passion that makes the Velveteers stand out among competitors, a reminder that rock, as a genre, is far from dead.”
Growing up in Boulder, CO, Demitro rebelled through her guitar, practicing up to nine hours a day and neglecting schoolwork to develop a playing style that is heavy but agile, theatrical but nuanced, grounded in rock history but wholly idiosyncratic. With drummers Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig playing on a conjoined set, the band developed a reputation for their riotous performances. Clips of the band’s live shows and DIY videos made it back to Auerbach, who invited them to his studio in Nashville to produce Nightmare Daydream. The album finds The Velveteers stripping down rock and roll to its most primal elements—the riff, the rhythm, the snarl—and rebuilding it in their own image.
