CHELSEA PERETTI REVEALS FORTHCOMING DEBUT COFFEE CONCEPT ALBUM, FOAM AND FLOTSAM EP OUT NOW
FULL ALBUM DUE IN JUNE, FEATURING CONTRIBUTIONS FROM KATHLEEN HANNA, WALE, HANNIBAL BURRESS, REGGIE WATTS, AND MORE

It is a well-established right of passage for the Hollywood actor to pursue their musical ambitions, making the leap from screen to recording studio. Chelsea Peretti, star of screen and stage, is excited to follow in the footsteps of her predecessors - Scarjo, Jeremy Renner, Kat Von Dee, Eddie Murphy - via the release of her debut album this June, to be preceded by two EPs. The album was written and produced in collaboration with Kool Kojak (Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul, Weezer) and includes contributions from Wale, Juliette Lewis, Chika, Nick Kroll, Reggie Watts, Kathleen Hanna, Hannibal Buress, Terry Crews, Patti Harrison, and Andy Milonakis. The first EP, Foam and Flotsam, is out now, featuring five tracks from the forthcoming album.
In conjunction with the announcement Peretti has shared music videos for the standout singles "LATE," and "OATMILK." The latter was directed by Numa Perrier with director of photography Brent Johnson (whom she worked with on her debut feature film Jezebel), and stars Cheslea Peretti and Reggie Watts alongside noted backup dancers John Early and Joel Kim Booster. The former was directed by Peretti with her former Brooklyn 99 collaborator Rick Page (who now holds the director of photography position on the show). A bevy of additional video content, as well as the second EP, is expected in the coming weeks.
Coffee. On its surface that is what this powerful and inspired concept album is about. But as the listener follows Chelsea down the caffeinated rabbit hole they will quickly lose their bearings, as "coffee" is simply a signifier for the choppy seas of addiction, the foam and flotsam of anxiety, loneliness, shame, and mortality. Sea Captain Peretti valiantly navigates a tsunami of coffee-based emotions with a demeanor that can only be described as courageous. As the caterpillar actor pupates to musician butterfly - so too Chelsea Peretti rediscovers herself as a master songstress. Coffee is everything. Music will be forever changed. Foam... flotsam.
