The Growlers announce three all ages shows at City National Grove of Anaheim

THE GROWLERS ANNOUNCE THREE ALL AGES SHOWS AT CITY NATIONAL GROVE OF ANAHEIM
THEIR FIRST CONFIRMED ORANGE COUNTY DATES IN SUPPORT OF NEW ALBUM NATURAL AFFAIR
ON SALE THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 10AM PST

LOS ANGELES - The Growlers will make their City National Grove of Anaheim debut on March 25, 26 and 27, 2020. The intimate three show run will mark the band's first appearance in Orange County in nearly two years. The concerts at the historic and recently refurbished 1700 capacity venue (past performers include Bob Dylan, Prince) will be all ages performances and presented by 88.5 FM.
The Growlers recently concluded their annual Beach Goth Halloween which consisted of three sold out shows at LA's historic Hollywood Palladium where the band performed unique and "no repeats" sets each night playing nearly 80-career-spanning songs over the course of the triumphant hometown stand. Their final show of 2019 is already sold out; Snow Ball 4 at The Wiltern, Los Angeles (December 20).
The Growlers' new album, Natural Affair, is out now on Beach Goth Records and Tapes. The Natural Affair 2020 World Tour starts in Australia this January, travels to Europe in February and hits the west coast in March where it will play 13 headline shows including regional dates in San Francisco and San Diego plus The City National Grove of Anaheim run which will be the final shows of the spring tour leg.
Tickets for all three Anaheim shows go on sale this Friday, December 6, 10AM PST.
ABOUT THE GROWLERS
Led by singer Brooks Nielsen and music director/guitarist Matt Taylor, The Growlers have forged their own twisted path on the global music scene since their founding in 2006 in Dana Point, California. They're the party band that grew into a traveling circus, spawning their own annual event (Beach Goth) and growing an international fanbase, while releasing six studio records that trace a line from garage psych ballads to edgy radio pop.
On their first three records - Are You In Or Out? (2009), Hot Tropics (2010), and Hung at Heart (2013) - The Growlers combined reverb-rich waves of vintage surf rock with the dark, slow-burn melancholy of outlaw country. Chinese Fountain (2014) introduced a new, disco-infused direction that saw them move away from their swampy roots and relocate to Los Angeles. The band teamed up with producer Julian Casablancas (and frontman of The Strokes) to make City Club (2016), infusing their sound with Casablancas' angular melodies and speakerpopping mixes. 2018 brought Casual Acquaintances, a raw collection of City Club-era demos and outtakes that - even as b-sides - ranks with the band's finest material.
On their latest, self-produced record Natural Affair (2019), The Growlers move their DIY aesthetic into an even sturdier, synthier, dancier sound, bolstered by Nielsen's finest lyrics to date: social commentary, rhymes, and ruminations on the pleasures (and perils) of modern love.
