“Eve Of Dubstruction” remixes the opening track onNo Geography, deconstructing therelentless grooves of “Eve of Destruction” to layer in an ever more intense and hard-hitting sound. Rearranging the original vocals from Norwegian singer Aurora and Japanese rapper Nene, the track provokes exciting new climaxes and drops. The remix is released ahead of their headline slot at Glastonbury Festival this month. A stunning visual for the track was created by the band’s long-term collaborators Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall. The Chemical Brothers’ classic album Surrender was released 20 years ago today on June 21, 1999. This autumn, they will release a new, fully expanded version of Surrender. The deluxe reissue will feature the original 1999 album with previously unreleased ‘Secret Psychedelic Mixes’ of Surrender album tracks as well as a selection of the remixes from the time and a DVD of restored promo videos and film of their legendary Glastonbury 2000 performance. The first copies preordered will receive an extremely limited pressing of the original Electronic Battle Weapon 3 & 4 on colored 10” vinyl. Surrender will be released as 4 12” vinyl and 3 CD/1 DVD sets. Full details of the deluxe package, release date, and U.S. pre-order will be announced shortly.
Following The Chemical Brothers’ acclaimed North American tour last month, the band will return stateside once again for an August 1 concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, which will mark The Chemical Brothers’ first New York City headline show since 2007.
