Still Corners are back with new album Slow Air which will be out August 17

Synthpop duo Still Corners are back with new album Slow Air which will be out August 17 via Wrecking Light. (It’s their first LP in two years.) Originally from London, Still Corners are now based out of Woodstock, NY and wrote and recorded this new album in Austin, TX. “We wanted to hear beautiful guitar and drums and an otherworldliness, something almost indefinable along with a classic song writing vibe,” says Tessa Murray. “We’re always trying to get the sound we hear inside of ourselves, so we moved fast to avoid our brains getting in the way too much. The name Slow Air evokes the feel of the album to me, steady, eerie and beautiful.” First single “Black Lagoon” definitely features more guitar than we’ve heard from Still Corners in a while, while still evoking that eery night drive in the desert vibe. Still Corners will be on tour later this year and will play Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on September 18Tickets for that show go on sale June 27 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
