Eleanor Friedberger released her stunning third solo album New View last month, and is about to embark on a month-long US tour beginning this Thursday at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC.
Tonight she will perform "Because I Asked You" on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she sat in numerous times on guitar with the 8G Band. Tune in tonight to NBC at 12:35 AM ET / 11:35 PM CT to watch.
To celebrate the TV performance, Friedberger is sharing the music video for "Because I Asked You." Shot last year at the Good Time Bar in Millvale, PA - where Friedberger and her band performed a short set, just before singing a round of karaoke - "Because I Asked You" is premiering now exclusively via Noisey. Friedberger drew inspiration for New View from many of her musical heroes - everyone from Van Morrison, Neil Young and George Harrison, to Slapp Happy, Yoko Ono and Elyse.
