Make-Up Sound Verite Back on Vinyl!

You have been waiting for it, anticipating it and now your impatience is rewarded: the K Mail Order Dept. is serving up the Make-Up album Sound Verite [KLP064] on vinyl LP for the first time in one million years.

Originally released in 1997, Sound Verite was the result of Make-Up interrupting their cross-country tour with a stop-off in Olympia, WA to record with Calvin Johnson at Dub Narcotic Studio. They'd recorded a Dub Narcotic Disco Plate, " R U a Believer" [DBN106] and were ready for more.
When Make-Up arrived they had no songs, not many ideas. Fortunately, Calvin had one of his own: he asked them to jingle the change in their pockets while he held a microphone up to their crotches and voilà, an album was born. The ace photogs above and below capturing the moment of Verite conception were taken by perennial Olympian Jeff Smith.
