This week, Glasgow two-piece Honeyblood premiered single "Super Rat" off their debut self-titled album out July 15th on FatCat Records. Stereogum posted the track, writing "There are guitars, which gleam with iridescent beauty. There are vocals, which bubble over with an immediately ingratiating spunk. Most of all, there are the lyrics, which pull no punches even amidst all the sweetness."

An air-punching tune of seismic proportions with the rather memorable chanted chorus line, "I will hate you forever," it's one disheveled summer anthem that'll likely be re-sung, screamed and shouted in any number of scenarios for some time. Front woman Stina Tweedale recounts of the song's creation, "Super Rat was written to cheer a friend up when she was feeling down. It's a fun and happy song at its heart. Everyone needs to let off a little steam now and again. This song lets me do that every time we play it."

With escalating acclaim across Europe and the US, the duo are fresh off tour with close comrade Courtney Barnett on her recent sell-out tour that finished last week, as well as recent stints with both Real Estate and Angel Olsen.

The band will return to the states this summer to play a run of dates, including a performance at Wicker Park Festival in Chicago. All tour dates can be found below.
