“His finest solo album to date” – THE QUIETUS – One of their Albums of the Year So Far
“The joyous spirit of Erasure’s synth-pop has long made it a fixture in the sonic wallpaper of public life. Bell’s solo work radiates a similar energy, and Ten Crowns is no exception.” SPIN
Andy Bell has begun his first ever solo tour of North America, featuring a live band that includes Grammy award-winning producer, remixer and DJ, Dave Audé, joined by Jerry Fuentes (guitar), Sarah Tomek (drums), and Chelsea King-Blank (vocals). The extensive dates kicked off earlier this month and continue through December.
Today, the Erasure frontman shares details of The Crown Jewels, a 4-disc box set that expands on his acclaimed solo album, Ten Crowns. Out December 12th via Crown Recordings, the box set will be available as a limited (4000 copies worldwide) 4-CD set with a 50-page booklet. Packaged in a gold foiled box, the release features new, extensive sleeve notes, and candid - previously unseen - photography by Sean Black.
Listen to his studio version of Olivia Newton John and ELO’s classic, ‘Xanadu’, which has become a live fan favorite, HERE
The first disc features the original Ten Crowns album, alongside previously unreleased tracks, including ‘Xanadu’. Marking a magisterial moment in Andy Bell’s forty-year career, the album reconfirms his standing as one of the great pop vocalists of our time. Featuring 10 tracks of dazzling, joyous pop, including his collaboration with Debbie Harry, Heart's A Liar, the BBC Radio 2-playlisted single, ‘Don’t Cha Know’, Dance For Mercy, and ‘Breaking Thru The Interstellar’.
The second disc, Ten Crowns Remixed, collates remixes by different artists for each track from the original album and includes Vince Clarke’s reflective remix of ‘Dance For Mercy’, recently described by Andy as “a masterclass in synth futurism”.
Ten Crowns Extended, the third disc, features extended versions of each track from the original album, created by Dave Audé, who produced and co-wrote the album with Andy.
The fourth and final disc, Ten Crowns Live, compiles live recordings of tracks from the album - including Xanadu - from Andy Bell’s triumphant tour, which has so far travelled through the UK and Europe, and is currently taking North America by storm – all dates below.
The Crown Jewels is out December 12 via Crown Recordings
Released in May of this year, Ten Crowns travelled into new dimensions and possibilities, and with gospel in his heart and dance in his soul clearly suiting him, it is Bell’s most successful solo project to date. His four decades of writing and recording with Vince Clarke as Erasure are still going strong - the duo are currently working on a new album together and will celebrate their 40th anniversary next year. For Ten Crowns, Bell threw himself into writing with close friend, Dave Audé - Andy and Dave had previously collaborated on two Billboard Dance Club Songs number ones together: 2014’s ‘Aftermath (Here We Go)’ and 2016’s ‘True Original’.

"Bell remains a magnetic performer—his voice soaring, his presence commanding....more than a concert—it’s a celebration of resilience, identity, and the enduring power of pop music." Digital Beat Magazine
