(July 1, 2026) Today, daine returns to share a Bassvictim edit of their new single “PQC” via Pack. Records. Bassvictim’s, Maria Manow and Ike Clateman rework the pop tune into a stripped back dance track allowing daine’s vocals to take up the full space. Speaking about the new version of the song daine shares, “This remix breathes cinematic air into ‘PQC.’ It feels like childhood magic, but also the awkward pain and joy of your early twenties. It sounds like running through a meadow cathartically after losing your job or something. It sounds like friendship and forgiveness.”

The new Bassvictim edit of the song follows early praise around the single from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereogum as well as The FADER who described the track as, “Catchy as a children’s tune and as dancey as any electroclash banger.” The single arrived alongside a Dylan Marriot-directed video and marked a move away from heavy digital processing and toward something more exposed and human. The new single is also an early taste of a forthcoming debut album.

daine has spent over half a decade exploring a diverse, but distinct sonic palette experimenting with their vocal delivery and refining their craft as a songwriter. The Filipino-Australian artist first emerged through the orbit of Charli XCX’s co-sign, crafting music that sounded simultaneously blown-out and diaristic, intimate confessions stretched into maximalist soundscapes. Since the release of daine’s 2025 EP i want the light to swallow me whole, their profile has continued to expand, with their world-building and genre-fluid approach reaching an ever-growing audience. A major part of that momentum came through their appearance on Ninajirachi’s breakout album I Love My Computer, where “It’s You” — particularly after the underscores remix began circulating online — became the kind of song that existed everywhere at once.

daine is heading on tour with Ninajirachi and Lucy Bedroque across Australia this Summer. The tour begins in Sydney July 3rd and continues on to Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. daine will also be performing at Pitchfork London and Pitchfork Paris this fall. The upcoming dates follow a European support run with yeule and collaborations spanning Oli Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon), Ericdoa, 100 gecs and Kreayshawn.

Out today, "Scammer" is the hauntingly beautiful new single from The Durutti Column, whose surprise return with the forthcoming album Renascent marks their first new music in 16 years. A liminal, pastoral meditation, "Scammer" pairs shimmering synth washes and chiming guitar with Vini Reilly's free-associative vocals.

Due July 31 via London Records, Renascent also features the acclaimed lead single "Liars," currently on the B-list at BBC 6Music. The band's long-awaited return has already been met with widespread critical praise.

Pitchfork called "Liars" "a bona fide entry into the Column canon," writing that it "layers guitar refractions and sighing keys over portentous drums," while naming Renascent one of its "52 Most Anticipated Albums of the Summer." Stereogum praised the track as a "gasping, regretful meditation that brings back the classic Durutti Column sound, but with the hard-won perspective that comes with age."

Total originals are a rare thing. Yet across five decades, guitarist Vini Reilly and his band, The Durutti Column have created their own, instantly recognizable style of music: intricate but unflashy, immediate yet timeless, melancholic but ecstatic. In recent years their singular sound has been embraced by a whole new generation of artists, including Harry Styles, who named The Durutti Column as a major influence on 2026’s Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally, and included the band in his curation of Meltdown Festival with the special concert For Vini: A Tribute To The Durutti Column.

Once existing beyond trends, The Durutti Column now find themselves rediscovered, their work resonating with audiences encountering it anew. Renascent, meaning “being reborn, reviving, springing up afresh,” captures both this renewed visibility and a deeper artistic resurgence.

In recent years songs by The Durutti Column have surfaced in major cultural touchstones, from television and gaming soundtracks to high fashion runways, while a new generation of artists as diverse as Frank Ocean, The Avalanches, Yung Lean, Youth Lagoon and Mark William Lewis have declared or demonstrated Durutti’s influence.

The album marks the group’s first collection of new material since 2010’s A Paean to Wilson. It also signals a symbolic return to origins, carrying a Factory Too catalogue number in collaboration with Oliver Wilson, continuing the legacy of Factory Records. Visually, Renascent reunites the band with original Factory design collaborators, Mark Holt and Hamish Muir of 8vo, whose artwork mirrors the music’s balance of modernist precision and romantic warmth through rich, sensuous color.

Musically, Renascent exists in a dialogue between past and present. Tracks such as “Time Present and Time Past” evoke a cyclical sense of motion: forward-looking yet reflective. Reilly’s improvisational approach remains central: spontaneous, intuitive, and resistant to formal constraints. “Every single piece of music writes itself,” he notes, and the album’s recordings preserve that immediacy. Pieces like “Vapour in a Matchbox” exemplify this ethos, transforming fleeting inspiration into compositions of lasting emotional depth.

Renascent is perhaps the most collaborative album Durutti have made – and not just because of the increased input of Mitchell and particularly of Stewart. Reilly’s Manchester neighbor, folktronica artist Caoilfhionn Rose sings on the stately, yearning “Agonistes” and sings and plays piano on the gorgeous, hymn-like “Sargasso Sea.”

Despite the passage of time, Reilly’s artistic philosophy remains rooted in motion and response. Creativity, for him, is an ongoing process; reactive, immediate, and alive. That sense of momentum carries through Renascent, an album that does not seek to recapture the past but to reanimate it, allowing it to evolve in new and unexpected ways.

The Durutti Column are Renascent.

The album will be available across a number of formats including digital, CD (both with the bonus track “All They See is Fire”) and transparent yellow vinyl. There will also be a limited edition vinyl featuring alternative artwork, pressed on bottle green vinyl and featuring an oversized booklet. The official Durutti Column store will host some very limited editions including a cassette, and a very special edition slipcase version of the album (limited to 1,000 copies worldwide) with alternative artwork, heavyweight black vinyl, a DVD with unique visualizers for every track, 4 art prints and a folded poster.

"energizing, catchy, and sharply self-aware, traveling between rock-adjacent tangents—while keeping grit, distortion, and guttural emotion at its core" - Paste Magazine

"a sense of transfixing wonder" - FLOOD Magazine

"tenderly poignant " - Our Culture

New York City duo Daisy the Great team up with Harmony Tividad (one half of the indie band Girlpool) to release a reimagined take of their single “Dream Song” (Harmony Tividad version). The track is the latest offering from the forthcoming deluxe album The Rubber Teeth Talk With Friends, due out July 17, which features further collaborations with Frankie Cosmos, Ray Bull, Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells), Babehoven and more.

Originally an effervescent party of driving guitar licks and danceable distortion, the new version of "Dream Song" strips the tune back to beautiful basics: a plucked guitar and three-voices interwoven in complex harmony, heavily inspired by sister vocal trio The Roches.

Share Daisy the Great: Girlpool was one of the first artists we initially bonded over when we started making music together and we were so happy to work with Harmony on this song. We all had the same

Roches-y vision for it too, so it really felt meant to be. ‘Dream Song’ is about finding deep love for

yourself, bravery, and joy in a dreamscape space and wishing for the ability to feel the same

when you wake up. This version is so beautiful to us, it’s really tender and delicate and it was

such a dream-come-true to stack vocals with angel Harmony.

Harmony Tividad further elaborates, “I heard this song and immediately thought it would sound so cool in a kind of The Roches-inspired way. I love the nature of the lyrics and this song so much - their writing is so unique and mystical. I love fantasy and I love the dreamy fantastical nature of what we made together.

Calling on a mash-up of friends and longtime artistic heroes, Daisy the Great’s The Rubber Teeth Talk With Friends presents creative reworkings of each song on their 2025 record. Occupying the sweet spot between cover and remix, the tracklist retains Mina Walker and Kelley Dugan's distinctive vocals while handing over the musical direction to a cast of collaborators.

“We gave each contributing artist the reins,” share the duo. “It’s been fun to let go of the songs and allow others to make their own interpretations. To highlight a different side of the meaning of each song.”

Take the downcast yet driving “Lemon Seeds,” which chronicles the dissolution of a friendship, transformed by Brooklyn duo Ray Bull into a piano-grounded indie-pop anthem. Frankie Cosmos offers new introspection to "Dog", an ode to summertime dissociation, while grunge-adjacent track “Ballerina” finds new life in Sipper's pulsing electronic textures, and features vocals from Sleigh Bells’ Alexis Krauss.

An inimitable record of edgy guitars, with spiraling synths and the duo’s uncanny melodies front and center, The Rubber Teeth Talk further cemented Daisy the Great as curious songwriters who can craft earworms from the smallest and largest moments of everyday life. Beyond the album, the band also recently completed a massive 20-stop North American Tour, where they performed new single “Can I Have A Moment.” They’ve also recently shared a cover of "Tom's Diner" and an original track, "Blood Dye 40," showcasing their signature "hocket" vocal technique – a style that has racked up over 210 million views across social media and become a staple of their live show.
