Adeline (pronounced adaleen) is a French-Caribbean juggernaut who dominates any stage, captivating audiences with her powerhouse voice, funky bass playing, daring personal style and soulful yet seductive dance moves. Widely known as the indomitable voice and face of the lauded Nu-Disco band Escort, today Adeline is writing a new chapter as an artist with the release of her first single as a solo artist, “Emeralds”.

Written by Adeline & co-produced with Morgan Wiley (Hercules & Love Affair, Midnight Magic), the song is out today paired with a bewitching video, directed by Hamadou Frédéric Baldé. Emboldened as a solo artist to express her individuality through her music, “Emeralds” fuses Adeline’s feminine prowess with brutish, powerful funk and soulful R&B. “Emeralds” is a chant for “un-pragmatic, non-materialistic” love and serves as an an ode to loving someone for who they are and not what they have.

As the front woman of Escort, Adeline has previously taken center stage at major festivals including Coachella, Montreal Jazz Fest and Full Moon Festival. And she has been showered with accolades from Rolling Stone, The New York Times, NPR, FADER, Vogue, Pitchfork, In Style, Refinery29, Stereogum, SPIN, V Magazine, Nylon, Vulture, Lucky, Allure & many more.

Her career as a solo performer launches with similar aplomb with Adeline set to perform music from her debut solo project at Afropunk Brooklyn 2018 on August 25th.
