Today’s announcement follows the arrival of Jepsen’s eighth album, Day and Night (Interscope Records), which was released earlier this month to critical acclaim and marked Jepsen’s best debut since her breakthrough album Kiss. As it moves from symphonic pop to dreamy psychedelia to high-octane disco, Day and Night echoes the palpable sense of playful abandon Jepsen experienced in bringing her most ambitious album to life. Rolling Stone praised the album stating it’s “Jepsen’s most experimental and exhilarating work” and that Jepsen “makes falling in love feel brand-new all over again.” VULTURE described Day and Night as “the most ambitious project of the Canadian singer’s 18-year career.”

Alongside the album, Jepsen released the music video for focus track “Versailles.” From the “day,” “Versailles” is a gorgeously frenzied pop confection inspired by Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette and its opulent portrait of unbridled pleasure-seeking. Watch the video HERE which was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Kanya Iwana.

Over the past 15 years, Jepsen has established herself as a true pop titan, carving out her own unique path with confidence and intention. She first rose to international prominence in 2012 with the irresistible global phenomenon “Call Me Maybe.” That blockbuster hit from her breakthrough album, Kiss, topped charts in over 47 countries and earned her two GRAMMY® nominations – for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Jepsen’s 2015 masterpiece E•MO•TION has become a modern pop landmark, amassing more than one billion streams worldwide and earning recognition as one of the defining albums of the 2010s from publications including Pitchfork and Billboard. She expanded her artistic range with 2019’s Dedicated, a sophisticated and emotionally rich collection that The Atlantic praised as “brilliant.” She emerged from a period of isolation in the fall of 2022 with The Loneliest Time, further showcasing her evolution as a songwriter and performer. Her B-sides projects (E•MO•TION Side B, Dedicated Side B and The Loveliest Time) have offered fans a deep dive into her creative process. With nothing left to prove, Jepsen brings a sense of freedom and self-assurance to Day and Night – both the album and upcoming tour.

The Dutch Kills Share Video For New Track "Boulder" || Playing Mercury Lounge In NYC Tonight!

THE DUTCH KILLS

SHARE NEW TRACK & VIDEO FOR “BOULDER”

PLAYING VIDEO RELEASE SHOW AT MERCURY LOUNGE TONIGHT

Today, burgeoning NYC rock outfit The Dutch Kills have shared new single “Boulder.” Exploring a grungier, sludgier side of the band’s sound, the track arrives alongside a playful, eye-catching new video, which the band will screen tonight as part of a special video release show at Mercury Lounge.

Built around the frustration of loving someone utterly unwilling to budge, “Boulder” finds The Dutch Kills pushing into heavier territory while retaining the wit and emotional candor at the heart of their songwriting.

The band comment on the track:

“I hate stubborn people. I hate being stuck. This song is about dating someone who is relentlessly both stubborn and stuck, and somehow I’m the person that needs to work on myself. Blow yourself!

The bridge to me feels like a moment of clarity. A little should I stay or should I go now. Sisyphus would have loved this.

This song is about a person dating a Boulder of a person. Confident, seemingly strong, but an immovable force that can only crush the people around it.”

The track also offers an early glimpse at the direction of The Dutch Kills’ forthcoming EP. “We chose to release ‘Boulder’ as the first single off the EP since I feel like a new sound we’ve been exploring. Something grungier, sludgier, and altogether moving through some more intense sounds and themes,” they say.

The accompanying video takes that intensity somewhere decidedly more surreal, placing the band in a bright, carnival-like setting populated by knife throwing, magic and spectacle. The playful visual world makes an unlikely foil for the song’s heavier emotional undercurrent, bringing “Boulder” and its immovable subject to life with a sense of humor intact.

The Dutch Kills make the kind of rock ’n’ roll that sounds better turned up loud. Fronted by Julia Von Dutch on vocals and guitar, with Alec Berry on lead guitar, Maxine McCormick on bass, and Heather Jensen on drums, the Brooklyn four-piece pull from the sweet, down-and-dirty side of ’90s grunge, punk, and rock. Since forming in 2023, they’ve sold out Union Pool, packed the Bowery Ballroom, and made the pilgrimage to SXSW twice, including the Grillos x Hotel Vegas Showcase in 2025. Back home, they’ve shared the stage with Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, The Frights, Starcleaner Reunion, Thesaurus Rex, and plenty more. Their debut EP, The Rot, was produced by Aleksi Godard and Gordon Raphael and recorded at The Hit Factory and Electric Lady Studios. With new music looming at the end of ’26, The Dutch Kills are doing what any good group of rockers should: making noise, filling rooms, and giving people a reason to party hard. New music is imminent!

Subtly introduced to the world as “a new band of old friends,” the Raconteurs burst onto the mid-aughts rock ‘n’ roll landscape with a pedigree and a passion. Jack White was arguably at the zenith of his pop-culture saturation through his iconoclastic work as guitarist, singer, and songsmith for the White Stripes, while Brendan Benson’s impressive resume already included a trio of acclaimed solo albums that earned him a reputation among those in the know as a songwriter nonpareil. Best known as the rhythm section for the Greenhornes, a Cincinnati-based combo equal parts blue-eyed soul and backbone-slipping garage rock, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler had recently served as drummer and bassist for Loretta Lynn’s GRAMMY® Award-winning, Jack White-produced 2004 career milestone, Van Lear Rose.

Released in May 2006, the Raconteurs’ debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers, immediately proved a watershed work for all involved, earning international critical applause and spawning a string of hit singles including “Steady As She Goes,” “Hands,” and “Broken Boy Soldier.” Recorded entirely at Benson’s Le Grand Studios in the attic of his then-home at 419 East Grand Boulevard in Detroit, the sweaty, unplanned sessions left little time for anything outside the music. Broken Boy Soldiers XX showcases the talents of all band members through ample extras and nuggets like the revelatory studio demo of “Level” and early take of “Steady, As She Goes,” both of which pair solidly with the unheard, unreleased, and heretofore unknown “Mech Royal,” all Benson / White efforts pre-dating the album proper yet serving as inspiration to it. From the full-band sessions, an alternate unheard take of “Blue Veins” is beyond exceptional, raw, bare, absent in-the-mix trickery, and extending to a seven-minute runtime. Insightful iterations of “Bedridden Blues (aka The Bane Rendition)” and “Store Bought Bones” delight in their derivations, highlighting the lightning-in-a-bottle feeling of the band capturing a magical

moment on tape.

A previously unreleased recording of the Raconteurs’ first-ever live performance further illuminates Third Man Records’ new 20th anniversary companion. With the trusty Hutch behind the mixing board, the band’s debut public outing is brimming with excitement and energy, highlighted by the full tracklist of Broken Boy Soldiers tracks plus two captivating covers: ”A House Is Not A Motel” (written by Arthur Lee and performed by Love in 1968) and the Flamin’ Groovies’ propulsive fan favorite, “Headin’ For The Texas Border.” Said White of the Liverpool performance at the time: “I’m not used to being able to take a sip of water in the middle of a song.”

Two decades after its initial impact, the Raconteurs’ Broken Boy Soldiers stands as a shining example of the inherent and undying power of the by-the-book band – four people, four instruments, occasional harmonies, a template solidified and popularized by the Beatles and a touchstone ever since.
