SHE PAST AWAY MIZANTROP TOUR 2027 She Past Away (SPA) is the Turkish darkwave/post-punk duo of Volkan Caner (vocal, guitars, songwriting) and Doruk Ozturkcan (drums, synths, production). They have released four albums to date, with LP and CD formats of the most recent of these, ‘Mizantrop’ (2026), available now via Metropolis Records. The group have today announced a ‘Mizantrop Tour 2027’ of the USA and Mexico as they continue to promote the new album. Scheduled for June, it will be the first opportunity for North American audiences to see SPA perform as a trio with the addition of a live bassist, plus with a brand new video show. Shaped by their stark aesthetic, it balances murky intensity with a subtle sense of calm built on immersive textures and distinctive guitar work. The album consists of seven songs that include ‘İnziva’ VIDEO and the title track VIDEO. Their first new SPA full-length release since 2019, it also marks the beginning of a new chapter for the duo and has been promoted with an extensive and ongoing world tour that has taken them all the way through 2026.   SHE PAST AWAY : İnziva | Mizantrop music videos SPA was formed in Bursa (northwestern Turkey) in 2006. With post-punk, goth and other early ‘80s influences, their songs were initially guitar-driven but added electronic elements as they developed. Forging a sound, attitude and sensibility,  they soon moved beyond local boundaries, despite singing in their mother tongue. They have subsequently built a devoted international following through acclaimed releases and extensive tours, establishing a strong reputation as a compelling live act, and are now recognised as one of the pre-eminent groups in their genre. 2020 saw SPA celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut EP with ‘X’, a remix album that saw a number of like-minded yet musically diverse range of acts such as Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Front 242 and Lebanon Hanover provide reworks of songs from their catalogue to that point. Beyond the stage, SPA's music has extended into broader cultural spaces resonating within fashion and contemporary visual culture, with their songs utilised by the fashion brand Christian Dior and more.
