"One of NYC's most exciting indie rock bands" - Guitar World

"The band dials in something a little more expansive…a natural visual pivot that underscores the band’s widening sonic palette without sacrificing their New York backbone..Hook-heavy, feel-good anthem that balances glistening guitar riffs with breezy, radio-ready vocals." - NYS Music

“'Holding Out' is a bonafide slice of modern alt pop — blending the best elements of classic alternative with undeniable current pop crossover potential. I can hear this song everywhere.” - Matt Pinfield, KCSN Los Angeles

“We just can’t ‘Wait’ for you to hear this one! Starting rather calmly, the track builds up as it paints a story in our minds, as well as through its music video.” - The Honey POP, 5 Hard-Hitters You Should Be Obsessed With Right Now

Today, New York City alternative rock band King Falcon continue their run of emotionally resonant rock songs with soaring track and Brooklyn-set video "Nothing Feels Amazing" out now. With its anthemic chorus, the band aims to find joy, hope and stay present amidst an emotional rut.

King Falcon's signature blend of vintage guitars, New York City grit and 21st century attitude continues to captivate listeners worldwide as they blaze a trail of their own. Their summer tour is underway with additional Canada and U.S. dates through this month, including select dates with Cinema Stereo. See all dates and information here.

Sinking into the anguish of life's hardships, "Nothing Feels Amazing" picks up where recent single "Wait" left off. Frontman and primary songwriter Michael Rubin (vocals, lead guitar) shares, "It captures the emotional progression from the immediate reaction to a situation into the difficult acceptance that some things can't be changed. There's a numbness that comes with that acceptance and I thought the visual of the melted ice cream in the single artwork encapsulated that perfectly."

Shot in Dumbo and at Jane's Carousel, the video depicts the excitement of the surrounding world while touching on how everything can feel so numb. Director Niko Stykos says, "It's a song for people going through a hard time in life whether it's a bad breakup, feeling a sense of loss, or suffering from PTSD."

Diving into the concepts behind the video, Stykos continues, "We decided to film things that would normally bring enjoyment such as ice cream, riding a carousel, and spending time in a beautiful park on a sunny day. The bridge looming behind Michael represents the hidden weight many of us carry that is so often unseen while the ice cream melting and carousel spinning faster and faster show how easy it is to let life pass us by."

The previously released buoyant track "Holding Out" looks toward the future with a hazy optimism, exploring the conscious effort to believe in brighter days. Praise for the track includes Mystic Sons who wrote, “US outfit channel a rich and lofty atmosphere for this breezy indie-rock groove." Comic Crusaders added, “New York City just bottled up optimism, plugged it into a vintage amp, and sent it blasting down Venice Beach...it’s gritty but hopeful. Laid-back but locked in.” Plus, the track has proven to be stable at radio as SubModern has “Holding Out” now in their Top 10 Most Played Song in 2026 so far.

Formed in 2020 in the local Brooklyn music scene, King Falcon consists of Rubin (vocals, lead guitar), bassist Joe Conserva, and drummer Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty. Since before their 2023 self-titled debut album, the trio has cut their teeth in the live space across the country, playing over 150 shows in the last two years alone. With over 1.5M streams and 900K in 2025 alone, King Falcon have cemented themselves as a band to watch. The 2025 single Plastic Crown” rose to #1 on Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Rock Playlist for multiple weeks and landed at #45 on MediaBase Radio in its first week. MXDWN named King Falcon “Best New Artist,” and Guitar World praised the group as “one of NYC’s most exciting indie-rock bands.” The group has since shared stages with The Struts and Sublime with Rome and is only just getting started. Now, after a North American tour with Des Rocs, the trio promises to expand their impassioned sonic world with additional electrifying shows and hard-hitting singles.

Never shying away from darker feelings, King Falcon fight to stay positive on their latest tune "Nothing Feels Amazing" out now. Catch the band live this summer across the Midwest and Canada. Find more information here and connect with the NYC band on Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
