Following the much-lauded success of the Kiss The Beast album, Sébastien Tellier triumphantly returns to these shores, bringing his electrifying artistry back to audiences across American stages for the first time since 2014 this Fall. After a sold-out tour across France and Europe, including two incredible shows at Paris’ Olympia and London’s KOKO, he continues to tour through the end of September. Tickets for the New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, San Diego’s CRSSD Fall, and Mexico tour dates go on sale Thursday, May 28th, at 10 am local time here.
An emblematic figure of the French Touch, Sébastien Tellier unveiled an exclusive collaboration with global icon David Guetta, “Thrill of the Night” ft Slayyyter and Nile Rodgers, last month and is currently #1 on UK’s Music Week Club Charts.
From Paris to London, alongside Oscar Holter, SebastiAn, Victor Le Masne, and Daniel Stricker, Kiss the Beast unfolds as an ambitious mosaic, carried by Owen Pallett’s strings, Nile Rodgers’ guitar, and the presence of Kid Cudi and Slayyyter. An album in which Tellier condenses and transcends his experiences: a boundless love letter to pop, both intimate and universal.
Before his seminal Kiss The Beast album, we left him with the synthetic storytelling of 2020's Domesticated. Since then, Sébastien Tellier has hardly slowed down, working on three film soundtracks, releasing two EPs, producing for fellow artists, and delivering one of the standout performances at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with his timeless “La Ritournelle.” Twenty years earlier, its release on his second album Politics, had already cemented Tellier as one of the most charismatic artists of the 21st century.
A gifted multi-instrumentalist, he has explored a wide range of territories spanning pop, instrumental, and electronic music. This has resulted in numerous tracks that have become cult classics: “L’amour et la violence,” “Sexual Sportswear,” “Fantino,” “Universe,” “Divine,” “Roche,” “Cochon ville,” “Fingers of Steel.” All while maintaining his signature look: long hair and beard, cap, and dark sunglasses. A distinctive style that has led him to collaborate regularly with leading fashion houses, which are drawn to Sébastien Tellier’s uniquely untamed dandyism.
