What the press is saying about Oxis:

“Her sound embodies a majestic fluidity” FLOOD
(April 17, 2026) - Marine electronica’s pioneering siren Oxis shares two new singles today, “Grey Mullet” and “Scup.” The former is a rising, astral ballad that echoes Oxis’ hushed vocals throughout, while the latter is a dynamic composition that’s become an Oxis signature, opening with tender guitar that’s slowly submerged under layers of yearning vocals, drums and bass, before returning to the surface. These two songs venture deeper into the waters of a new project from Oxis on the horizon, with more details to come soon.
“Grey Mullet” and “Scup” build on the success of the most recent installment in the prolific Oxis universe, Oxis 8, which arrived in January via Boom Records. Oxis 8 included the standout tracks “Fingerling,” “Guili,” “Piranha,” and “Fry,” and received praise from the likes of Stereogum, FLOOD and Pigeons & Planes, the latter of which named her to their Artists to Watch in 2026 list.
Continued with Oxis 8, this series of eponymous Oxis projects represents a brave endeavour to capture coming-of-age feelings at their most heightened, like lightning in a bottle. That duality of universal emotions, like a shot of adrenaline or salt in a wound, finds its way into Oxis’ music without a flinch. The prolific nature of the Oxis project also showcases her growth as a musician in real time, solidifying her confidence and stature as a producer, songwriter and vocalist, while exploring new sonic territory across each new installment. Late last year, Oxis demonstrated her production process through a stripped-down, intimate reimagination of her live set, performing tracks “Piranha” and “Fry” for a live session with The FADER in New York City.
Oxis is currently on a run supporting Bob Moses and Cannons for a string of shows across North America with dates at iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre, and The Hollywood Bowl still on the horizon. Tickets available HERE.
Sink into “Grey Mullet” and “Scup” above, see below for live dates and stay tuned for more from Oxis coming very soon. |
