Growing up in North London, girli absorbed the chaos and hooks of the indie sleaze scene, and now she channels that restless energy into songs that feel alive, pulsing like a sweaty gig in Camden or Shoreditch. It’s classic girli alt-pop — nostalgic, chaotic, and fearless, but sharpened with a bold new edge.

girli has been teasing the new era since the end of 2025, sharing ‘Better Undressed’, the powerful ‘Slap on the Wrist’ and recently released ‘Romantic Sadness’ Known for her shimmering, high-concept production and fearless commentary, girli now pivots toward a more grounded, girl-next-door energy, trading gloss for grit, and polish for raw, intimate expression.

It's about to be another huge year for girli as this Summer she’s hitting the road in full force, celebrating her new album and reconnecting with the community she’s beautifully built. Her new North American Tour will kick off right where it all began: Baby’s All Right, where she made her New York debut. She’ll be at the Brooklyn venue on June 11th, followed by stops in major cities including Chicago, DC, LA, and Toronto.

Since emerging with her breakthrough sophomore album, she has carved a space in the alternative scene for bold, boundary-pushing storytelling. boundary-defying album ‘Matriarchy’ is a deeply transparent exploration of both the struggles and triumphs of queer identity and womanhood, reinforcing her positions as an ambassador for the LGBTQIA+ community and a front-runner for the next generation of alt-pop music.
