(October 10th, 2025) Richard Ashcroft releases his new album Lovin’ Youtoday. Lovin’ You marks the seventh solo album from The Verve vocalist and will include the track “Heavy News” along with previously shared singles “Lover” and title track “Lovin’ You.” Spending the summer inspiring stadium-wide singalongs as special guest to Oasis ignited an exciting new chapter in the story of Richard Ashcroft. The live shows spurred phenomenal demand for tickets for next year’s arena headline tour, which has seen several shows sell-out six months in advance, including a 20,000 capacity gig at The O2, London.

Richard recently sat with SPIN Magazine to discuss the album, where he stated, “It would have been easy to look at what’s going on and make this doom-filled prophecy on the future. But I thought, my songs themselves, my titles, the lyrics, the feeling, they could be now. I wanted to create something static and beautiful. Something people could put on, and it crossed all boundaries. I love making songs that people can’t really nail.” Richard also joined Chris and Jason on the podcast How Long Gone where they chat about Kimmel's apology, Richard's love of New York City, accidentally getting Liam's hotel room on tour, when Oasis opened for The Verve, Manchester United vs. Manchester City, and how to say "no" when they tell you to take off your sunglasses.

His first record since 2018’s Top 5 Natural RebelLovin’ You is a collection of songs emulating timelessness and modernism as it distils the many facets of his artistic style in an album dominated by themes of love and romance. It’s an album that flows organically from his stirring, string-soaked balladry into anthemic indie-rock, Americana, soul, and, in the shape of the disco-flavoured, falsetto-led “I’m A Rebel” (produced by Madonna’s renowned collaborator Mirwais) something that we’ve never heard from him before.

The album’s new focus track “Heavy News” bites harder, guitar-heavy rock ‘n’ roll that offers an impassioned plea for someone to keep the faith in spite of challenging times. It’s also the sort of dynamic, melodic rush that’s sure to be a standout moment of future live shows.

The majority of the album was produced by Richard with his regular collaborators Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu, with guitarist Steve Wyreman also making a key creative contribution.

Lovin’ You is available to stream or buy HERE. Physical copies include black vinyl, orange vinyl, CD and cassette, while Richard’s official store adds a signed artprint to all album bundles.

This new album continues Richard’s vast influence, which started with his phenomenal success with The Verve - especially with the hit-packed 11 x Platinum, #1 classic Urban Hymns. The two-time Ivor Novello and triple BRIT Award winner’s subsequent solo career has also flourished with all six records charting Top 5, including the #1 debut Alone With Everybody.

Richard’s next headline tour keeps expanding after the initial five dates all sold-out far in advance, with the latest addition being a huge outdoor summer show at London’s stunning Alexandra Palace Park. Limited remaining tickets for the dates listed below are available HERE. He will also reunite with Oasis next month when he performs as special guest on all five of the tour’s South American shows.
