GOOGLY EYES RELEASES “5 MORE MINUTES”  TO BENEFIT  WE ARE MOVING THE NEEDLE’S FIRE RELIEF FUND HERE DEBUT STARLET EP OUT ON PRETTY SWEDE / NEON GOLD RECORDS HERE

Photo credit: Philip Handeland   FIRST NEW ARTIST SIGNED TO  TOVE LO’S PRETTY SWEDE RECORDS Today, Los Angeles’ artist googly eyes releases “5 More Minutes”, a track she literally wrote while evacuating from the LA fires. This emotionally sweeping electro-pop ballad embraces the thoughts and feelings enveloping an artist's head amongst chaos and unknown. Mastered by GRAMMY-winning Emily Lazar, all proceeds from this track will go to We Are Moving The Needle’s Fire Relief Fund here. Last September, googly eyes released her debut Starlet EP, a landmark release for not just the artist but her label as well, as googly eyes is the first outside artist signed to Tove Lo’s independent label Pretty Swede Records.  Pretty Swede Records is an independent label founded in 2022 by Tove Lo. To date, Pretty Swede has released Tove’s 2023 LP Dirt Femme and her collaborative 2024 HEAT EP with SG Lewis. googly eyes’ Starlet EP marks the first release by Pretty Swede outside of Tove’s own artist project. Pretty Swede have signed googly eyes in collaboration with Tove’s longtime collaborators Neon Gold Records, themselves known for a star-studded history of debut releases, from Tove’s own Truth Serum EP in 2014 (featuring “Habits”) to iconic early releases from Charli XCX, Marina & The Diamonds, Christine and the Queens, Ellie Goulding and more.  About We Are Moving The Needle:  We Are Moving The Needle is a non-profit working to radically reshape the future of the recording industry. We empower women and non-binary producers, engineers and creators to succeed at the highest levels.
