(May 10th, 2024) - Today, Destiny Rogers shares her debut album Still Your Girl via Human Re-Sources. The album’s release follows her previous singles “Still Your Girl,” “Save My Love,” and “Make Up,” three heartfelt songs that highlight Roger’s uncanny ability to speak directly to listeners, validating seemingly common experiences through prolific songwriting and effortless vocals. In four days, Destiny will be heading on the road to support Madison Beer on select dates of her The Spinnin Tour where she will perform as the singer’s opener. Stops include Montreal, Philadelphia, and New York among others. Destiny will also be taking the stage alongside Kylie Minogue, Yaeji, Doechii, and Trixie Mattel among others for Outloud’s annual WeHo Pride Music Festival this June. Find full tour routing below.
Speaking on the album’s significance Destiny shares, “It's been a long time coming but I'm so happy to finally share my debut album, Still Your Girl, with the world. It took a couple years of heartbreak, growing, healing, and learning to love myself to get here, but I'm so proud of where I am and what I have to share with this project. And I hope the world loves it too."
First emerging on the scene in 2018, the Mexican-American pop singer’s musical prowess was informed by her family’s shared love for music. Raised by a father who played rock and roll, a Mexican mother who sang corridos throughout her home, and an older sister who loved 2000’s hip-hop and R&B – a world of music surrounded Destiny since childhood. At home, she played guitar and recorded covers on YouTube while performing in a worship band at her local church. With this, Destiny was shaped into the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist we see today. Now Rogers boasts a collaboration with Grammy-Award-winning songwriter/production team The Stereotypes (Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey), performing at festivals like Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival and SXSW along with cosigns from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Complex, Genius, V Magazine, Nylon, Ones To Watch, and more.
On her debut album Destiny turns inward with her identity at the forefront. In 2022, Destiny opened up about her sexuality with Rolling Stone and how she learned to love herself regardless of pushback from her family and ending her first relationship with a girl in secret. With this story at the root of Still Your Girl, Destiny is ready to show the world her most honest and intentional music, and in a sonic space, more evolved than fans have ever heard from her.
