Louisville, KY’s Bendigo Fletcher have surprised fans with a cover of Cults’ 2011 classic “Go Outside”. “Go Outside (From Natural Bridge State Resort Park)” is available to stream and download beginning today via Elektra HERE. Recorded live at Slade, KY’s Natural Bridge State Resort Park, the release is accompanied by a stunning visual of the band performing the song in the picturesque location. Watch the video HERE.

“To us, the message of the song is maybe similar to ‘nature is healing’, which we all connect with in some way,” shares Bendigo Fletcher frontman Ryan Anderson. “It’s obvious that having experiences out of doors is essential to the singer’s life force. The constant changes of light and wildlife and water can energize us and deepen a sense of wonder and respect for our surroundings. You can feel that sweet calling in Cults’ ‘Go Outside’. I think we felt it in performing it on Natural Bridge in Slade, KY. The slight uptick in tempo and a mistaken lyric or two feel like products of the powerful surge of energy you get from being up there and looking out over the treetops.”

The state of Kentucky has one of the largest state park systems in the country with 46 state parks, each offering its own unique spin on nature. With the release of the song’s official music video, Bendigo Fletcher encourages fans to support the Kentucky State Parks Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at connecting residents and guests to the outdoors, immersing them in Kentucky’s rich history and culture, and ultimately helping them experience all the beautiful state has to offer. The band also partnered with Kentucky Parks Club on a limited edition t-shirt, designed by Ryan Anderson. The shirt is available now HERE.

“It's really important that young people are able to make memories in nature together so that we continue to foster pride and care for Kentucky's unique beauty across generations, and we're grateful for the work that Kentucky Parks Club does to facilitate these experiences for as many young Kentuckians as possible. It makes our state and the world a better place,” adds Anderson. For more information, visit kyparksclub.com or find the Kentucky State Parks on Facebook or on Instagram

In 2022, Bendigo Fletcher released their four track Wingding EPMUD professed, “Bendigo Fletcher is a beauty of a band, masterfully crafting stories and depicting what it is to be wonderfully human with folk-rock spectacularly infused with psychedelic twang.” The EP also earned praise from Consequence, The Bluegrass SituationEntertainment Tonight, and more.
