February 28, 2022: Today, Australia’s beloved psychedelic-surf-rockers Ocean Alley announce an eight date US tour. The tour starts in Minneapolis at 7th Street Entry on June 22, snaking its way through the country and ending in Boston at The Sinclair on July 2. Tickets go on sale on March 4th. Full tour details below.

Since the release of their Gold-certified breakthrough, Chiaroscuro (2018), which saw the band take the #1 spot in the renowned Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2018 for their double platinum smash “Confidence,” the six-piece have performed at major festivals including Reading & Leeds (UK), Splendour In The Grass (AUS) and Sziget (HU). They’ve also garnered more than 400 million catalog streams worldwide.

“This year we will be traveling all across North America during June and July to play some huge live shows during a beautiful northern summer,” says Ocean Alley’s Mitch Galbraith. “We’ve got new music and production we’ve been working on during the break and we’re super keen to share it with you. Heading back after over 2 years to see old friends and getting back to live music is what we all need right now. We will be hitting all of Canada and East Coast USA in June / July, then we'll return later in the year for another huge run of the west coast. Hope to see you there for more good times!”

The upcoming tour dates will serve as the first opportunity for US audiences to experience the band’s ARIA-nominated third album Lonely Diamond live. The record debuted at #3 on the ARIA charts and has received Gold certification on five singles and been nominated for 2 ARIA Awards. Most recently they were featured on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2021 with the tracks “Touch Back Down” and “Breathe/Comfortably Numb/Money” (Triple J Like A Version).

The band recently shared brand new music with the release of the single “Touch Back Down.  Infused with their classic sun-drenched sound and infectious groove, the track is a story about turning a negative into a positive, and always finding the light side of a problem. It was written during a last-minute writing session in Byron Bay, Queensland, which only came to be after the legendary Bluesfest in Byron Bay was canceled at the eleventh hour.

In the off time between shows, the band have dedicated their time to ongoing work with long-time community partners One Eighty, Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Red Dust. Ocean Alley are constantly pushing their own boundaries and defying expectations of what their music can be.
