ANDERSON .PAAK RECEIVES GRAMMY NOMINATIONS FOR BEST R&B ALBUM AND BEST R&B PERFORMANCE
NOMINATIONS ARE FOR HIS ALBUM VENTURA AND SONG "COME HOME" FT. ANDRE 3000
Revered singer, rapper & percussionist Anderson .Paak has been nominated for two GRAMMY Awards. The nominations come for Best R&B Album for his album Ventura and for Best R&B Performance for his track "Come Home" ft. Andre 3000. This is his second year in a row that he's been nominated having won a GRAMMY last year for Best Rap Performance for his song "Bubblin".
The nomination news caps off the biggest and most prolific year of the Los Angeles artist's career releasing two charting albums- Oxnard (debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200) and Ventura (debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200) both via Aftermath Entertainment, exclusively distributed by 12 Tone Music, LLC. The Oxnard campaign saw his first Saturday Night Live appearance and additional musical performances and couch spots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS This Morning and The Daily Show. The album was executive produced by Dr. Dre and features the likes of hip-hop legends Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, J. Cole, Q-Tip, and Pusha T.
Ventura featured Smokey Robinson, André 3000, Jazmine Sullivan, Brandy, Nate Dogg, Lalah Hathaway, and Sonyae Elise and saw appearances on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and more. His song "Make It Better" ft. Smokey Robinson was his first #1 song at Urban AC Radio (Mediabase). His subsequent Best Teef in the Game tour completely sold out and included his first Madison Square Garden headline show and 24 other stops across the US and Canada.
