OUTSIDE LANDS 2019 ANNOUNCES THE BARBARY’S COMEDY & IMPROV LINEUP COMEDY SETS FROM MIKE BIRBIGLIA, RAMY YOUSSEF,  RHEA BUTCHER AND MORE PLUS VARIETY SETS FEATURING TONY DANZA, ALYSSA EDWARDS, THE MUSIC OF “THE BIG LEBOWSKI” AND OTHERS

(San Francisco, CA July 18th)--Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly and Starr Hill are thrilled to announce the 2019 Outside Lands comedy and improv line-up for the festival’s renowned Barbary tent. Co-curated by SF Sketchfest, this year’s lineup is headlined by  stand-up comedian, actor, director, producer and writer Mike Birbiglia, Silicon Valley star Jimmy O. Yang, The Daily Show’s Dulce Sloan andRamy Youseff, star of Hulu’s Ramy. They will be joined by Nore Davis, Rhea Butcher, and Nori Reed.  Tony Danza and his four-piece band will perform at Outside Lands for the first time, debuting their hit show, Tony Danza: Standards & Stories. Combining timeless music with wit, charm, storytelling, and a dash of soft shoe and ukulele performances, Danza performs a selection of his favorite standards from the Great American Songbook while interweaving stories about his life and personal connection to the music. The Barbary will also feature the return of the Red Room Orchestra who will recreate the soundtrack from The Big Lebowski. The orchestra will feature Carroll Ashby (Alpha Rhythm Kings), Tom Ayres (Persephone’s Bees), Allyson Baker (Dirty Ghosts), Marc Capelle (American Music Club), Eli Crews (Beulah), Toby Dammit(Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds), Tom Griesser (Marcus Shelby Orchestra), Jess Ivry (Real Vocal Strong Quartet), Amber Lamprecht (Rodriguez), Scott Larson(Dizzy Gillespie Band), Alisa Rose (Swift Rose), John Schott (TJ Kirk), and Michael Urbano (Todd Rundgren Band). Special guests will also include Tony Danza, Kelley Stoltz, Eugene Robinson, Meryl Theo Press, Paco Ramone and will be hosted by “The Stranger” (James Adomian as Sam Elliott). Also included in this year’s Barbary lineup is Voyage To The Stars Live! with Colton Dunn, Felicia Day, Janet Varney and Steve Berg, Tiny Meat Gang Live with Cody Ko & Noel Miller and Off Book: The Improvised Musical With Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino.
