THURSDAY, MARCH 15 AT HOTEL VEGAS

Levitation has announced the lineup and schedule for their 7th annual official SXSW showcase and day party! Four stages and performances from over 50 of our favorite artists at SX this year! It all goes down Thursday, March 15 at Hotel Vegas (1502 E 6th St).

Once again Levitation hosts Austin label Holodeck Records who have curated an incredible lineup once again for the inside stage at Hotel Vegas. In addition to all the live performances which includes headliners A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS, NIGHT BEATS, SUNFLOWER BEAN, DRAB MAJESTY, HOLY WAVE, BOY HARSHER, ORB and original 1960s Austin psych legends BUBBLE PUPPY, the event features video and light projections from a host of visual artists including:ETHERWAVE, ASTRAL VIOLET, VISION SYSTEM, ASTRAL VISIONS and more.

The day portion (1pm-7pm) is free / complimentary entry. Early arrival suggested.

OFFICIAL SXSW SHOWCASE : 7PM - 2AM

During the official SXSW showcase (7pm-2am), SXSW badge and wristband holders will get priority access to the show, but the event is open to the public and you can get in for a small door fee. Early arrival suggested.

Levitation takes over downtown Austin, TX for their 10th year celebration April 26-29. For the past ten years, the independent gathering has grown from a small word-of-mouth event to an internationally acclaimed, full weekend destination that has shaped musical tastes and help spark a movement, inspiring the creation of Psych Fests and similar events across the globe.

Levitation is known for offering once-in-a-lifetime lineups with programming spanning continents and decades.  2018 keeps at it -- with an already striking and diverse lineup including Slowdive, The Black Angels, Ministry, Electric Wizard, Ty Segall, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Parquet Courts, OM, Thee Oh Sees, Chelsea Wolfe, Dan Deacon, Waxahatchee and more, Levitation has confirmed four new shows and more additions across the weekend.

2018 will utilize the Austin clubs that have helped cultivate the city's unique and legendary music scene - bringing a more intimate experience, with longer sets from headliners alongside all the conveniences of the city. The programming will also include pop-up events in nearby cafes, galleries, record stores and more to be announced....   

The weekend features showcases and curated events with other independent festivals, record labels and like minded-folks such as Burger Records,  Desert Daze, NRMAL, Sacred Bones Records, Castle Face Records, BYM Records, Gorilla VS Bear,  Exploded Drawing, and Margin Walker along with more presenters and collaborators to be announced.
