Los Angeles post-punk revivalists Drinking Flowers have released their new album New Swirled Order via Manifesto Records (Cellars, Pale Diane, Puro Instinct.)
The new album is a drastic step forward for the band. Shedding their Southern California surf inspired garage rock, Drinking Flowers found inspiration in the swirling, catchy and often dark discography of 1980s Manchester.
Drinking Flowers originated in Orange County. Shrugging off the shackles of surf and garage, they quickly moved to LA and within a few years established their own pop underground with a couple of washed out EPs. Most notably the transitional "Shadow Show" - whose cover art saw a collaboration with Vice News artist Alex Schubert.
New Swirled Order is out now on LP, digital & cassette.
