World Tour begins August 18th
The Beach House song “Sparks,” the first single from Depression Cherry [listen here], premiered earlier today on SiriusXM’s SiriusX MU channel. “Sparks” has earned raves from the likes of NPR Music, Stereogum, Exclaim, Gorilla vs. Bear, Pretty Much Amazing, Consequence of Sound, Pigeons and Planes, and more. “Sparks” will be available later tonight (at 12am EDT/9pm PDT) as an instant download with pre-orders of Depression Cherry from the Sub Pop Mega Mart, iTunes, and Amazon. Depression Cherry was produced and recorded over the span of two months by the band and Chris Coady at Studio in the Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Beach House will start their worldwide tour in support of Depression Cherry August 18th in Portland, ME at the State Theatre and end their 2015 dates with a sold-out 3-night stand December 17-19 in San Francisco at The Fillmore. LP and CD versions of Depression Cherry will come packaged in a sumptuous red velvet sleeve.
