Partisan Records is excited to announce that The Pixies have chosen John Grant as their direct support for a spring US tour in continued support of 2013's Pale Green Ghosts.  Kicking off in New Orleans on May 5th, the tour will route through the Southeast and East Coast, culminating with two New York City shows (The Beacon Theater on May 27th and the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on May 28th).  Additionally, Grant will play Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, and is currently working on his third album due out later this year.  The full list of tour dates is below.

In late 2014, Grant performed much of his celebrated catalog with the 60-piece BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, with arrangements by his long-time collaborator Fiona Brice.  So good was the performance, and also in response to public demand, Grant's UK label, Bella Union, released a live recording of the show late last year.  This follows Grant's 2014 nomination for a BRIT Award in the Best International Male Solo Artist category, where he went up against Drake, Bruno Mars, and Justin Timberlake.

2014 also found Grant collaborating with many widely acclaimed artists:  He was asked by Elton John to re-recorded "Sweet Painted Lady," which was included on the 40th anniversary reissue of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road that came out in March.  Not only did he help translate Asgeir's debut album, In the Silence, into English, but his vocals can also be heard on the recent Hercules And Love Affair album, The Feast of The Broken Heart, on tracks " I Try To Talk To You" and "Liberty."
