Dec. 1, 2021, Southern California – El Ten Eleven, the SoCal pair of Kristian Dunn and Tim Fogarty, have shared a preview of their forthcoming album, with today’s release of “New Year’s Eve” (https://lnk.to/ETE-NYE).

“’New Year's Eve’ is a song about cautious optimism,” said Dunn and Fogarty collectively. Further details about the Sonny DiPerri (DIIV, Portugal. The Man) produced album will be shared in the new year. “It was written while the pandemic seemed to have a chance of ending and there was lots of political change in the air. But even the most well laid plans for New Year's Eve celebrations often end up being disappointing, thus the metaphor.”

The track arrives as the duo embark on their first U.S. tour since the Spring of 2019 and the release of their 2020 three-album opus Tautology I, II and III. With the launch of the tour, El Ten Eleven have also announced several additional weeks of 2022 touring, including April performances in the U.S. and multiple European outings. The full list of dates, which sees the pair on the road for the first three months of the New Year, are below. Supporting artists include Sego, Ohmme, Mylets, Cedric Noel, and A Beacon School.

The Tautology series is available now via the Joyful Noise Recordings’ webstore (joyfulnoi.se/tautology) and through the array of streaming services.

Kristian Dunn (bass/guitar) and Tim Fogarty (drums) have flourished outside the accepted norms of rock orthodoxy, releasing eight full-length albums, four EPs and performing over 750 live shows. Utilizing inventive arrangements and a masterful use of looping, El Ten Eleven have been noted for their ability to create a sound much bigger than their individual parts. SF Weekly said of the pair’s live performance: “watching El Ten Eleven play is something like watching two superheroes do their thing.” Consequence of Sound called their music “euphoric,” KEXP described their output as “transcendent” and Under The Radar declared the pair’s unique style a “buoyant brand of post-rock.”

The Linda Lindas Share New Track "Nino"

Los Angeles-based, all-female punk band The Linda Lindas have released the riff-laden power punk single “Nino.” The track, written for vocalist and guitarist Bela’s cat, is taken from the band’s forthcoming 2022 studio release.

On the band’s 2020 self-titled EP, Bela wrote a song about her siamese cat “Monica.” However, her cat Nino wouldn’t leave her alone until he got a song too. It is finally Nino’s time to shine. According to the band, “if you listen carefully there is a real-life, remarkably talented cat named Lil Dude playing piano on it. (We have the footage!) Enjoy!”

“Nino” follows the viral smash hit “Racist, Sexist Boy,” and  “Oh!” which was featured in the trailer for the Netflix series “The Chair” starring Golden Globe winning actress, Sandra Oh.

ABOUT THE LINDA LINDAS
Formed in 2018, The Linda Lindas first played together when former Dum Dum Girls frontwoman Kristin Kontrol invited them to take the stage to play covers for Girlschool LA (a music and ideas festival focused on connecting and empowering women-identified artists, leaders, and voices). After forming their own band and playing DIY gigs around Los Angeles, they were asked to open for punk icon Alice Bag and for seminal riot grrrl band Bikini Kill at one of their 2019 reunion shows at the Hollywood Palladium. In time, the band began writing their own material, including a song featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary The Claudia Kishi Club.

The Linda Lindas released their self-titled, self-released debut EP in 2020 showcasing their high-energy and heartfelt brand of punk, naming Jawbreaker, The Go-Go’s, and The Alley Cats among their inspirations. Months later, they appeared in a key scene of Amy Poehler’s Moxie!

In May 2021, The Linda Lindas’ set at the Cypress Park branch of the L.A. Public Library was streamed as an AAPI Heritage Month event (the band members are Asian American, Latinx, or both). The bands blistering performance of “Racist, Sexist Boy,” amassed over four million views on Instagram, and earned major praise from the likes of Hayley Williams, Questlove, Flea, and members of Rage Against the Machine and Sonic Youth.

The Linda Lindas are Eloise (vocals, bass), Mila (vocals, drums), Bela (vocals, guitar), and Lucia (vocals, guitar).

Chastity Shares “Vicious Circle” featuring City and Colour

CHASTITY SHARES “VICIOUS CIRCLE” FEATURING CITY AND COLOUR

The new song appears on Suffer Summer, out January 13 via Deathwish Inc/Dine Alone Records. // Watch the “Vicious Circle” visualizer now.

The perfect balance of bliss and melancholy" - Vulture

"[Chastity] knows how to channel aggression into beauty"  - NPR

Growing up in Ontario, Canda, singer/songwriter Brandon Williams AKA Chastity idolized the post-hardcore Canadian legends Alexisonfire. Flash forward a couple of years, the bands became peers with Alexisonfire taking Chastity on the road and making a surprise appearance at his album release show for debut album, Death Lust. The friendship between Williams and Dallas Green, also known for his stellar work in City and Colour, continued and today the two are sharing a collaboration, the emotional and soaring "Vicious Circle".

Watch (+ share) Chastity's "Vicious Circle" feat. City & Colour on YouTube.

The track is the fourth single to be shared from Chastity's upcoming Suffer Summer, out January 13th via Dine Alone Records and Deathwish, and it follows the previously released "Pummeling", "Dying To Live" and "Somersault". Of the single, Williams says: “Once the strings were recorded, I felt like the song became too beautiful for my voice honestly. I needed help living up to the song's potential, and asked Dallas Green if he would sing on it with me. Was genuinely so shocked and excited that he was down. Once he was on the song it turned out way friggin' better than what I ever could’ve hoped.

Brandon Williams makes resonant songs that capture isolation and resilience. As the songwriter behind Chastity, the Whitby, Ontario musician has made three unrelentingly perceptive albums culminating in the cathartic new Suffer SummerSuffer Summer caps off an album trilogy that showcases both Williams’ emotional range as a lyricist but also his boundless love of outsider music. His 2018 debut Death Lust pulled from Unwound and The Smashing Pumpkins as he grappled with mortality while 2019’s Home Made Satan dealt in world-weary anxiety and Hum-like atmospherics. But Suffer Summer is a meditation on happiness, channeled through powerhouse riffs and undeniably potent choruses, sung with Mineral and Jimmy Eat World worn on his sleeve. It’s an album that shows how healing and staying content is hard but necessary work.

Williams mostly wrote Suffer Summer throughout 2019 while he and his band joined acts like Fucked UpDIIV, and Alexisonfire on tour. It was a fruitful and exciting period for Williams, who whittled down 24 new tracks to 10, taking several new creative leaps while penning these songs. For any artist, taking risks, trusting your intuition, and relinquishing control is a delicate balance but for these songs, Williams knew he needed to step out of his comfort zone by making his writing more collaborative. He enlisted one of Chastity’s earliest and most vocal supporters PUP frontman Stefan Babcock to co-write opener single “Real World” and LP highlight “When You Go Home I Withdrawal.” Alexisonfire and City and Colour’s Dallas Green appears as a guest vocalist on “Vicious Circle,” the emotional centerpiece of Suffer Summer

Chastity started as a way for Williams to find community in his suffocating and isolating suburban life, his songs serving as an outstretched hand for the like-minded people on the fringes. Suffer Summer is both a validation and comfort that while the world might be irrevocably damaged, you’re not alone.

Suffer Summer will be released on January 13th on digital and physical formats via Deathwish Inc. everywhere (aside from Canada, via Dine Alone Records).  Pre-order the album here and look for more news and music to surface soon from Chastity

“It’s sexy, it’s fun, and it’s a little off-kilter, often conjuring up pop star idols...like Madonna and Gwen Stefani.” - I-D

"Sedona’s work serves as a remedy of self-love for femmes and allies. - COEVAL

“...unapologetically feminine and timeless” - ALT CITIZEN

“Sedona, is able to captivate listeners [and] pushes indie pop in a more nostalgic rock direction.” ONES TO WATCH

“Sedona has an unparalleled ability to connect with those around her through melody, not only with her listeners but also with herself” - FLAUNT

Today, Brooklyn-based dirty pop girl group Sedona shares her latest single “Sharkbite” on Boom.Records. Sedona’s ethereal voice and exceptional songwriting quickly evoke a familiar feeling like a perfect brush of nostalgia, dipped in equal parts indie rock and alternative pop. The energy behind each song encapsulates a free, effortlessly wild spirit with an old soul and a strong sense of self-awareness that conjures up the romantic nostalgia of Stevie Nicks, the playful energy of Gwen Stefani, and the rebellious passion of Madonna

With her new single, a follow up to her summer release “Bullseye”, Sedona brings to light the grim and exhausting issues found in a decaying relationship, full of toxicity, pain, and a dead-end feel that's reminiscent of an open wound ("just like a Sharkbite"). Sedona explains, "whether it's issues between you and yourself, or between you and someone you love, 'Sharkbite' is here to hold space for those who find themselves stuck in old habits that no longer serve them." Empowering listeners to choose themselves and to cut off any relationship that is no longer working via a smoldering hook, daunting lyrics, and timeless melodies, Sedona declares, "your loneliness is not my problem, it's yours".

“'Sharkbite' is a warning to those who feel powerless. It’s an attempt to break away from the thoughts, people, and actions that drain the life out of them, out of us.” - Sedona

ABOUT SEDONA
Conjuring up female leads like Stevie Nicks and Madonna, Sedona aims to fuse past hurts with a contemporary feel. Her sound emerges from the nostalgic undertow of hook-filled pop antics. Founded and named after the lead singer’s alter-ego we’ve come to know and love as Sedona, her songwriting embodies a musical timelessness. With Merilyn Chang on keys, Claire Gilb on guitar, and Tia Cestaro on drums, camaraderie is at the heart of all things Sedona.

“Pachyman is not to be slept on. Born in San Juan, PR, and now residing in Los Angeles, Garcia’s
latest long-player is laced with the good shit. At a dozen tracks, it’s a roots ride of originals, all with knowing nods to the genre’s greatest innovators.”
AQUARIUM DRUNKARD

Pachyman, the LA based one-man-dub-band of multi-instrumentalist Pachy Garcia, has shared the official music video for “Sunset Sound.” The song is from his recent album The Return Of Pachyman.

The Return of Pachyman is a supernatural force from a brave new world that’s a little bit San Juan, a little L.A., and a whole lot of Channel One in Kingston, Jamaica. Designed to be a resurrection of sound systems from the past through which we can celebrate a post-Trump future, the record shows that blasting off into reggae’s deep space has never gone out of style. It’s a high-flying journey into a different kind of dub vibe, as García tells it, by composing songs “in major keys, which is not as common with reggae nowadays.”

García hails from Puerto Rico, where he grew up immersed in the music of local reggae heroes Cultura Profética and classic Jamaican dub records from King Tubby and Scientist. After relocating to Los Angeles, he fell in with the weekly Echo Park reggae night Dub Club and began creating his own dub music, influenced by the Caribbean sounds of his youth, and recording guitar, bass, drums, and piano in his basement studio. García began to organically build an enthused following in the reggae community and was given the 2021 Discovery Award at this year’s Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC).
