“In a world with no shortage of somewhat formulaic industrial bands, the Brooklyn band Public Circuit offers a more eclectic, ecstatic take on the stylistic hallmarks of the genre.”

“Public Circuit, who sound like they could have been on DFA Records in 2005 (in a good way).”

Today, New York City electronic trio Public Circuit announce the remixed version of their latest album Modern Church will arrive on April 28. For the reworked tracks, they recruited friends and fellow staples of the Brooklyn music scene including Lip Criticshower curtainGrumpyThe Wantssmushideasforconversations and Crate. Today also sees the release of Public Circuit’s own remix of their favorite song from the album, “Damager.” Built for an industrial dance club, the remix is no fat and all electronic synth muscle — Stream

Modern Church was released in September 2025 and accompanied by US and European tour dates (including 2 sold-out shows in Berlin), and 4 nights opening for LCD Soundsystem at their famed annual Knockdown Center residency. If electronic music is sacred theology, then Public Circuit are the pagan heretics driving the genre forward with an indomitable will to live. On Modern Church, the band dismantles and reassembles post-punk with surgical precision. Gone is any pretense of retro revivalism—what remains is something sharper, darker and entirely their own

The band shared, “We wanted to put out the remixes to not only highlight all our amazing friends who make amazing music, but also to revive these songs into all the different worlds we believe they belong to exist in.”
