Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival 2026 (OMF) is very proud to announce the return of Destination Okeechobee, providing up-and-coming artists with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play live at the beloved Florida independent music festival, taking place March 19-22, as always in the magical South Florida nature paradise of Sunshine Grove. The past decade has seen OMF helping new talent grow by highlighting the many incredible artists within the Florida community. Destination Okeechobee 2026 will allow one ultimate band or singer an unforgettable opportunity to perform live on the sandy shores of the Aquachobee stage, with a winning DJ getting to spin an exclusive set at the immersive Incendia (a four-night inferno of underground energy, bass, and special guests, curated by NYC-based production agency and cultural influencer Renegade). In addition, nine additional slots will be available for top-ranked DJs at a special new performance area.
Aspiring artists can enter Destination Okeechobee 2026 by simply uploading a live performance video to Instagram or TikTok using @okeechobeefest and the hashtag #DestinationOkeechobee26 in the first line of the caption and then submitting their entry HERE. Submissions can be entered from Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00 am (EST) through Friday, February 13 at 11:59 pm (EST). The OMF team will pull together the top submissions before allowing fans to vote on Discord and Instagram. The ultimate Destination Okeechobee 2026 winners will be notified on Friday, February 20; all winners must accept by Tuesday, February 24, to confirm their appearance at OMF 26.
DESTINATION OKEECHOBEE 2026 ENTRY APPLICATION
Previous Destination Okeechobee winners include flipturn, set to make their eagerly awaited return to OMF this year with a top-billed performance on Sunday, March 22. The Fernandina Beach, FL-based band proved triumphant in the 2018 competition, securing its first-ever festival slot just two years after their inception. Since then, flipturn have quickly risen to become an internationally known indie rock powerhouse, with sold-out headline tours, festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, and national recognition from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, ABC News and the Washington Post.
"Looking back at the past lineups for when we played Okee in 2018, 2020, and 2023 is actually insane. It’s like looking back at a small time capsule,” says flipturn’s Madeline Jarman.
“Winning Destination Okeechobee back in 2018 meant absolutely everything. When we learned that we could have the chance to play at a sick music festival in Florida with some of our favorite bands, we knew that we had to do everything we could to claim that opportunity. At that point, we were still in college, cutting our teeth in small clubs around Gainesville and Jacksonville, Florida. We knew that if we could put ourselves in front of a new audience at a festival, then it would be a great way for us to spread our name. Luckily, we got enough votes to be the winner of the competition! We felt like we were on top of the world.

Founded in 2016 with a mandate of authenticity, kindness, and respect between each other and the environment we inhabit, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival 2026 will celebrate the spirit of music, arts, and community with epic headline performances from Cage The Elephant, Fisher, GRiZ, Knock 2, T-Pain, LCD Soundsystem, and The Lumineers, along with a truly diverse, multi-genre lineup of global superstars, rising new artists, certifiable legends, and more, many of whom are making their long-awaited return to the iconic gathering following previous fan favorite performances.
