Listen HERE. The 14-track record distills the meteoric rise of the duo into a bold statement of intent - weaving together the euphoric indie-pop anthems that defined their ascent, alongside a set of brand new songs that showcase the duo’s widescreen sound in full for the first time. Written on the road across a year of late nights, long-haul flights and fleeting moments between shows, Blue Sky Mentality captures both the chaos and clarity of a life in constant motion. It’s a record about distance and belonging, about holding onto the people and places that shape you, and about finding light even when things feel heavy. Pairing luminous synths with soaring choruses and lyrics rooted in community, resilience and togetherness, it’s an album built for both the quiet moments of reflection and the communal release of a festival crowd. Speaking on it themselves, the duo add: “It’s surreal to finally say we have a debut album out. Blue Sky Mentality was written across cities, vans, tour buses and hotel rooms - we’ve been playing these songs live for too long, it’s amazing that everyone can finally hear them the way we imagined from a tinny iPhone speaker. It’s a big record, but it’s not polished, which feels really fun. This is our dream.” Since forming in late 2023, friends Oli Fox and Scott Verrill have experienced a rise nothing short of remarkable. Their debut single “Home” became one of the biggest selling singles by a UK act in America in 2024, and has amassed more than a billion global streams across all platforms, going Platinum in the US and UK, and holding its place in the UK Top 40 for 15 weeks. The track peaked in the Top 5 on both Alternative and AAA Radio in the U.S. as well as spending 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and 36 weeks on the Billboard Rock Songs chart. Just as striking was its impact on fans: a heartfelt anthem about finding comfort in the people you love, the track quickly became a song that people clung to in their darkest moments. “If you listen to our music, or come to a show, and you feel better after than you did before then we’ve done our job,” Fox says. In less than two years they’ve transcended from a sweat-soaked debut at London’s Sebright Arms to releasing a self-titled debut EP, selling out their own headline tour, making their US television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and making landmark festival debuts at Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Osheaga, Outside Lands, Rock en Seine and more. Between a BRIT Rising Star nomination, a BBC Sound of 2025 longlist spot and support slots for the likes of Mumford and Sons, Foster The People andBenson Boone, their music has soundtracked global stages, Tesco adverts and even the EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack - two years running. With mixing by Dan Grech-Marguerat (The Killers, Lana Del Rey) and songwriting collaborations with Justin Tranter, Joe Janiak and Pablo Bowman, Blue Sky Mentality finds Good Neighbours balancing a raw, DIY spirit with expansive pop ambition. It’s a record that wears its heart loudly and proudly, smuggling big feelings - grief, love, hope, resilience - into massive choruses and sun-streaked synths. Featuring fan favorites “Home,” “Keep It Up,” “Ripple” and “Starry Eyed,” alongside recent singles “People Need People,” “found u/me,” “Suburbs,” and the latest single and focus track, “Walk Walk Walk,” Blue Sky Mentality radiates hope even in its heaviest moments, and a rallying cry for openness, optimism and togetherness. Speaking about “Walk Walk Walk,” Oli and Scott reveal, ““Walk Walk Walk is one of our few writing collaborations on the album - written in LA with pop legend Justin Tranter. It’s easy to pin him as a pop god, but we bonded over a bunch of early 2000s indie bands, and took on a big riff as a nice little nod to those MGMT era tunes.” The release is marked with a run of headline shows across North America, including both weekends at Austin City Limits Music Festival (October 3 and 10). Built for big stages and collective catharsis, the tour will bring Blue Sky Mentality to life in rooms full of people singing shoulder to shoulder – exactly where these songs belong.
