With cheeky, candid lines like “I’m over boys that waste my time,” she turns frustration into empowerment, channeling her signature mix of vulnerability and strength into a biting, infectious single.   Speaking about “I Met A Boy,” Mimi reveals, “‘I Met a Boy’ is probably one of the more unique songs on the album. I had so much fun trying out a more R&B sound, which hasn’t really influenced my music until now, and I’m definitely excited to explore it further in my future work. We’ve all flirted with someone, only to find out they’re already in a relationship, so I hope this song feels relatable to many.”    A standout moment is the album’s emotional centerpiece, “You Don’t Look At Me The Same.” Stripped back to somber piano and minimal production, the ballad spotlights Mimi’s most vulnerable vocal performance as she faces the slow unraveling of a once-close relationship. The song swells toward a heartbreaking realization as she pleads, “Please tell me I’m not seeing straight, what’s changed? People will never know exactly who it’s about, but writing it helped me finally say all the things I wish I had said.
