(September 19, 2025) – Puerto Rican band Chuwi share their new single "Falta Algo.” Anchored by the quarter’s tender vocals, the song unfolds into a lush soundscape layered with bomba cadences and raw guitar riffs. “Falta Algo” (“Something’s Missing”) captures the feeling of trying to find peace while living in a world that feels increasingly unstable.

As part of NPR Music’s Latin Heritage Month program, Chuwi will release their El Tiny concert on September 25th. The performance is part of NPR’s acclaimed Tiny Desk Concert series, spotlighting Latin artists throughout the month.

This October, Chuwi will be performing at Festivals like Austin City Limits and III Points. They will also be supporting PJ Sin Suela in New York, followed by a run of headline shows. Tickets are available for purchase HERE.

Chuwi is a musical quartet formed in 2019 in Isabela by siblings Willy, Lorén, Wester Aldarondo and their close friend Adrián López. Their music is a vibrant fusion of Latin jazz, indie rock and tropical rhythms woven with folkloric strands of bomba and plena. They released their debut EP, Pan in 2022, followed by Tierra EP in 2024. With tracks like “Tierra”“Mundi”, and “Guerra,” the project offers a potent reflection on Puerto Rico’s gentrification, migration, environmental crises and collective displacement.

They gained global attention through their collaboration with Bad Bunny on the standout track “WELTiTA” from his album DeBI TiRAR MáS FOToS. The song brought Chuwi international acclaim, charting across Latin America and Europe and earning over 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Rooted in community and resistance, Chuwi continues to craft music that's both deeply personal and socially resonant, emerging as a defining voice of Puerto Rico’s new generation.

Listen to “Falta Algo” and stay tuned for more music coming soon.
