New York City’s own Native Sun is sauntering back onto the scene today with a brand new groovy and hypnotic single, "I Need Nothing." The track is out today via FLOOD Magazine and arrives alongside a feature at The Line of Best Fit.
The quartet blends the raw energy of early punk and garage rock with the melodic sensibilities and depth of art rock, as highlighted in the group's first single since 2024. The new track "channels the raw, hedonistic energy and rebellious spirit of bands like Primal Scream and The Stone Roses."
With industrial guitars, hypnotic bass grooves, and phased-out drum loops, the track pulsates with confident swagger, while its lyrics reflect a yearning for liberation and detachment amidst the chaos of the modern world. The band says, "Gritty, unfiltered, and bold, "I Need Nothing" delivers a defiant statement of pure, unyielding independence."
