Corpus Grows Tour

TICKETS

(September 13, 2024) - Ahead of their forthcoming Corpus Grows North American tour, Show Me The Body shares “Stomach,” a new single featuring tourmates High Vis, which arrives alongside a black and white music video directed by Show Me The Body vocalist Julian Pratt of skaters having fun with their friends and ruling the streets spliced with shots of Pratt and High Vis vocalist Graham Sayles traversing through respective cities. With the new song, the New York ecclesiastical hardcore trio is also announcing their second EP of the year, Corpus II EP II, which will be available on vinyl alongside Corpus II EP when it arrives on September 27th

This forthcoming EP will join their Corpus series, highlighting the spirit of collaboration and community and finding the band connecting with artists across genres and scenes that align with Corpus’ values and vision. Part two of Corpus II includes contributions from High Vis, B L A C K I E, Special Interest, Spelling, Regional Justice Center, Destiny, VCR, Corbin, and Nick Hakim. Part one of Corpus II includes contributions from B L A C K I E, King Yosef, Starker, YL, and ZULU.

The Corpus Grows Tour launches in September and runs through the start of November. With stops in various major cities nationwide and festival performances at Louder Than Life, Furnace Fest, Aftershock, and VIVA PHX, Show Me The Body will culminate at the Knockdown Center in Queens. Alongside High Vis, BIB will support the Body with additional support from Special Interest, ZelooperZ, Bearcat and BLACK NOI$E on select dates. Tickets are available HERE

The Corpus Grows tour is in partnership with Corpus NYC, a mutual aid and creative collective that Show Me The Body created in 2015. The collective, which is now based in Queens, began organizing non-traditional, intentional DIY spaces for NYC youth and has grown to a global capacity through its urgent, ceremonial live shows, subterranean punk and hip-hop mixed tours, and the Corpus NYC platform.

Formed in 2009, Show Me The Body consists of Julian Cashwan Pratt (founder; banjo and vocals), Harlan Steed (founder; bass), and Jackie McDermott (current drummer). Over the past 15 years, they have released several EPs and three full-length albums: Body War (2016), Dog Whistle (2019), and their latest album, Trouble The Water (2022). The 12-track album was recorded entirely at Corpus Studios in Long Island City with Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Turnstile, Municipal Waste). Trouble The Water is a homage to the physical city and the New York Sound, encapsulating the people and subcultures that form the city’s true foundation. Through the intentional cultivation of their local and global chosen families and a decade-long dedication to sustaining the New York Sound, Show Me The Body has solidified a legacy of confronting and permanently shifting the rigid limitations of the hardcore genre.
