TDE’s rising cross-genre artist Zacari releases the trailer for his upcoming short film, Bliss, out July 12 via Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). This hauntingly surrealist film trailer cuts through stark, dream-like sequences: a hedonistic party, a shadowy strip club, and a desolate desert. The film’s abstract narrative speaks to battling vices and seeking grounding amidst life’s chaos, ultimately striving for a sense of belonging. Throughout, an inner voice resonates with the words, “Don’t be afraid of your demons, though. You just gotta know if it’s you dancing with them or if it’s them dancing with you, you know?” This line encapsulates the film’s exploration of inner conflict and reconciliation, mirroring Zacari’s quest to find a place he can truly call home. Zacari’s debut album Bliss is set to release on July 12 via Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and boasts of collaborations with artists such as James Fauntleroy, Ty Dolla $ign, Ab-SoulDoechii, and more, Bliss is poised to establish Zacari’s position as a dynamic cross-genre artist. The album delves into themes of isolation and self-discovery, skillfully previewed by his latest singles “Faith + Sight,” “Destiny,” “Lonewolf Still” and "Ocean."  Zacari reflected on his inspiration for the album, saying, “I see myself as a wanderer. I feel everything deeply sometimes too deeply. I like to make life music. Love and hate and how it relates to life and death. I first really fell in love with music when leading my church worship team in 7th grade. I learned then that talent needs purpose and my intentions is always healing. I want my music to be place people can run to. I may not have answers in my music but I think I have important questions.” Pre-order/Pre-save HERE

Zacari initially gained widespread recognition with his contributions to Kendrick Lamar'DAMN. and own breakout singles "Don't Trip" and "Young & Invincible," and continues to push the boundaries of music with his innovative sound and authentic storytelling. His upcoming album, Bliss, promises to be sonically magnetic, showcasing not only Zacari’s vulnerability and introspective nature but also his prowess at expanding musical boundaries.
