In 2008, all five members of Fucked Up stood in the same studio collectively for the last time, to do the same thing - record their hit album 'The Chemistry of Common Life.'  A year later, they all stood in the same place for 12 hours doing the same thing again - playing that music in a retrofitted clothing store on the Bowery (the infamous “12 Hour Show”).  What's more impressive than doing something for 12 hours straight? Let me tell you:

In 2024 you have a chance to witness the impossible again - those same 5 people standing in the same room at the same time, doing what they do - writing, recording, fucking around, arguing, taking naps, drinking, doing drugs, trying to leave, arguing with commenters on the internet, singing, writing lyrics, making cover art - all live-streamed to your phone or computer. However this time the stakes are doubled - these unhinged time bandits will sit and stand in that room for 24 hour straight, or until one of the following happens: they have written the entire 'Year of the Monkey' trilogy; someone gets pissed off and leaves; someone passes out, or they decide to wait another 16 years to do this at the same time again. The only way to find out what happens is to tune in.

Fucked Up has long eschewed the ‘live off the floor’ approach of recording music in favour of recording their parts in the safety of their own homes, or in Jonahs case, his own continent (somewhere in Europe or UK), free from the harsh creative judgement of everyone else (Mike) and at their own paces. In recent years this approach has been pushed to extremes, as 2023’s 'One Day' and the upcoming 'Another Day' (released next week!) saw all five members sequestered not only to their own studios to record, but within the strict temporal framework of 24 hours of work.

From 1pm August 6th to 1pm August 7thFucked Up will carry that spirit with them, joined by a crack camera crew and a procession of engineers and food couriers, to see what they can collectively come up with inside a true day - and this time the harsh judge is YOU. DMs open.
