Today, enigmatic composer, producer, and singer Clara La San releases her highly anticipated debut album Made Mistakes, out now via her imprint CLS Music (on AWAL Recordings). The long-awaited album finely balances Clara’s renewed conviction in her solo sound with an empathetic vulnerability that identifies her as an R&B siren taking control of her agency and finding her place in the world. Somewhat shadowy and avoidant of the spotlight previously, on Made Mistakes Clara opens listeners up not just to her music, but the whole Clara La San audio-visual world, finally unlocked for fans to interpret and ultimately lose themselves in. About the album, Clara says “The songs on Made Mistakes were written based on my own personal experiences, when at times I was in need of answers and figuring things out. I hope they can resonate with you all in a way that’s personal and relatable to you.” Stream Made Mistakes HERE.  Alongside Made Mistakes comes the announcement of a string of shows in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and London this fall marking Clara La San’s debut live performances. Tickets will be available for pre-sale on Tuesday, June 11 at 10 AM local time and on sale Thursday, June 13 at 10 AM local time HERE. Earlier this week, Clara released the hypnotic, lush, bass-driven "Things You Didn’t Know" which finds her confiding in herself at a time of heartbreak and delivering a sense of palpable yearning. The song followed singles “Talking to You” and “Don’t Worry About It”, released with striking and visceral videos directed by Actual Objects  (Dua Lipa, Caroline Polachek, Bad Bunny). All three tracks are emblematic of Clara's capacity for weaving together a rich tapestry of diverse influences: from the sultry undertones of 90s trip-hop to the cutting-edge soundscapes of contemporary electronic music. Made Mistakes marks Clara’s first new music since the 2023 re-release of “In This Darkness”, which garnered hundreds of millions of plays across streaming services, earning her solo sound a rightfully due nod. In April, Clara was also revealed as one of only two features on hitmaker Bryson Tiller’s forthcoming self-titled album. While her music is steeped in a holistic listening of myriad musical strands—from early aughts R&B to contemporary rap instrumentals—Clara La San braids her influences with inspirations from cinema scores and up-to-the-second sound design, also thanks to additional and co-production provided by Yves Rothman (Amaarae, Blondshell, Yves Tumor) and mixing by the iconic Tony Maserati (Mary J Blige, Beyonce, Lady Gaga) to express a singular style of electro-soul and pop. Her palpable style is matched by a rare ability to conceive top-line vocal melodies, layered in blushing harmonies that instantly imprint on the memory and have kept her growing and devoted fanbase, including many other artists and peers, returning for more.  Clara La San deploys her enviably natural feel for extended melody at the service of telling stories borne from lived experience. Her discreet, observant skill at divining sensual poetry from everyday life has only grown more notable since early guest vocal appearances prompted her to front her own mixtape. Good Mourning, co-produced with UK electronic producer Jam City, was released in 2017, and since deleted from DSPs - only adding to the mysterious allure weaved across her persona. Subsequent songwriting credits for Yves Tumor and Bicep have proven her range and unleashed Clara La San’s confidence in a solo sound that speaks to her maturity and dare-to-differ approach to working in the music industry.
