San Francisco punks Spiritual Cramp, and Louisville Garage Punks White Reaper have come together for a two-song 7” split which is available for pre-order today and due out May 16th on Blue Grape Music. Today you can hear Spiritual Cramp’s contribution featuring White Reaper for “Whatever You Say Man”, a driving and ominous self-reflection about the ups and downs of mental states. Mike Bingham of Spiritual Cramp notes: "This is a funny song for me. I feel like I should start this blurb off with the disclaimer that I am not usually a depressed person. But, sometimes on a day where I start writing lyrics for a song, I am. Some days I wake up and I look around at all the beauty of the world and I’m moved to tears and overwhelmed with gratitude. Some days I wish I never woke up. This song is about what it feels like to wake up on the wrong side of the bed.” Spiritual Cramp will support White Reaper on a handful of dates to support the 7” starting June 17th in Boston; they’ll also hit Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and DC. Tickets for those go on sale tomorrow (4/19) at 10:00am local time. The dates fall in the middle of Spiritual Cramp’s own headline tour (full dates below).

Produced by Michael Bingham and Michael Fenton of the band with additional production from Carlos de la Garza (Paramore, M83, The Linda Linda's, Cherry Glazerr, etc.) the album received praise and support from likes of Pitchfork, FADER, the highly coveted Stereogum album of the week, The Needle Drop and much more. The band brings fast downstrokes and upstrokes with hip-hop production and reggae inspirations to a Taking Heads meets Big Audio Dynamite meets Clash-styled punk, finding a balance between Molotov protest songs and genuine personal struggle heavy with this self-interrogation.
