SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 23, 2024) – Hometown festival organizers Noise Pop Industries are proud to reveal today the full music lineup for Noise Pop Festival as San Francisco Bay Area’s premier independent music festival returns Thursday, February 22 through Sunday, March 3, 2024 in celebration of its 31st anniversary.
Music discovery abounds at this year’s weeklong festival as performers continue to span the musical gambit with a wide variety of newly announced music acts. Not to mention the 75+ previously announced acts that adorn the already impressive roster like Snail Mail, The Mountain Goats, Louis Cole, Suzanne Ciani, Cherry Glazerr, Dehd, Jacques Greene b2b Nosaj Thing, Conducta, Alice Glass, Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter, Mount Eerie and more.
Hip-hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will now perform a special first-of-the-month festival headlining set at The Curran Theatre on March 1st in support of the trailblazing rap group’s three-plus decades touring together; while Italian electronic dance music maestro DJ Tennis, Jamaican-British songstress Rochelle Jordan, and acclaimed folk singer Kate Bollinger will also perform at the festival next month.
For the latter concert, local retail shop Crossroads Trading has partnered with Noise Pop to set up a special pop-up shop at this intimate concert at Swedish American Hall on Sunday, March 3 as Kate Bollinger closes out the 2024 edition of Noise Pop Festival that evening.
Next month, Noise Pop will also welcome a very special showcase to 1015 Folsom – “Rhonda presents: A Club Called SQUISH” – featuring Ben UFO, Conducta, Olof Dreijer (of The Knife); in addition to a two-night residency at 4Star Theater from festival alum Tommy Guerrero, marking the festival’s first-ever concerts inside the historic movie house.
4Star Theater will also offer a rare film screening of “Dreamin’ Wild”, the acclaimed biopic about indie-rock pioneer Donnie Emerson featuring a live Q&A with the artist himself alongside a very special guest, his wife and fellow musician Nancy Sophia Emerson.
Working closely with the festival team, SF Jazz is also curating a special lineup of top-tier modern Jazz musicians throughout Noise Pop Festival 2024 featuring acts like Holly Bowling, Cosa Nostra Strings, The Seshen, and Melanie Charles.
Found in the Mid-Market District of SF, The LINE San Francisco will also work with the festival to present a special admission-free concert featuring Space Ghost, a musician project from the mind of Sudi Wachspress who is a producer and DJ living nearby in Oakland.
Furthermore, The LINE San Francisco will offer 20% off overnight stays for festival-goers who use the code ‘MAKENOISE” when booking their reservations. The LINE will also honor a 15% discount at their various onsite culinary concepts during the days of the festival including at Tenderheart, Rise Over Run, Alfred, and Dark Bar whenever a patron shows a Noise Pop Festival 2024 concert ticket stub or festival badge.
Over 100 individual music acts are set to perform at the festival next month with a majority having strong ties to the Bay Area and signaling Noise Pop’s consistent efforts to uplift the music community in its very own background.
“When it comes to live music, San Francisco is as diverse as they come and our team hopes this lineup is reflective of this city’s amazing culture and music scene. With over 100 acts in the queue for Noise Pop’s weeklong party, there’s no shortage of incredible shows to catch at the festival — and you might even discover your next favorite artist,” said Noise Pop’s CEO Michelle Swing.
Next February, these performances will unfold across many of the Bay Area’s most coveted music venues such as Great American Music Hall, Bottom of the Hill, The Chapel, Rickshaw Stop, Joe Henderson Lab at SFJAZZ, August Hall, Gray Area, Kilowatt, Bender's Bar and Grill, 1015 Folsom, and the list goes on including Noise Pop’s debut at the Grace Cathedral that will feature several special and intimate concerts.
Beyond these dozens of music performances, festival-goers can look forward to a jam-packed schedule full of happy hours, secret after-hour parties, and so much more. All of which will take place nightly over the course of a full week in late February as Noise Pop transforms the streets of San Francisco into sprawling festival grounds.
