Grammy-nominated songwriter Teddy Geiger — under the moniker teddy<3 (pronounced "teddy") — recently announced details on her upcoming new record, Teresa, out 11/1 via STEM. Speaking on the forthcoming LP, she wrote: "I was fortunate to be able to take a three month trip to Madrid in 2019 to reflect and get out of LA and live fresh. All the songs on Teresa came out of that period of self discovery."
Following the recent release of the record's first two singles — "True Love," and "Never Enough" — today, Teddy returns with a third cut off the LP entitled "In Spades."
Speaking on the track, Teddy wrote:
"This song began at the living room table in Spain with that lil bubbling intro synth, and then it just sat like that for a couple months. I would listen and enjoy discovering all the little melodies hidden in there. I ended up finishing it as a song when I was revisiting the sessions, while tracking stuff in NYC with my friend/close collaborator Evan Voytas. This song is about unrequited devotion to the utmost degree."
Limited edition signed vinyl and accompanying print books with lyrics and original illustrations are available exclusively via Teddy’s website here.
"Taking some time and space to put together this lyric book really helped me reconnect to not only the songs and the feeling of the album but I also found myself rediscovering creativity outside of music," Teddy explained.
Stay tuned for the full Teresa LP, out 11/1 via STEM. |
