“A holy trinity of wonderful pop vocalists.”

“...reminiscent of other three-piece pop groups like Haim and Muna but with a certified dedication to stand out amongst the crowd.”

“Catchy, breathy choruses and lilting harmonies work their charm over buzzy synth and chunky beats.”

- THE MUSIC

Meet Blusher, the Melbourne-based 3-piece who self-described their existence as ‘angry sparkly pop chaos’.  Today they reveal their latest single Dead End, alongside official music video, out now via Atlantic Records/Warner Music Australia. Opening with a driving, gritty bass line made for a 3am dance floor, Dead End pulls you in close with intimate vocals, before exploding into neon ‘head out the car window’ synths. The single follows on from a massive 2022 for the band with a debut performance and release that lead to a signing from Atlantic Records/Warner Music Australia. Catch Dead End live in March as Blusher hit the road, supporting Norwegian artist Aurora on the Australian and New Zealand legs of her The God We Can Touch Tour

Born from a place of nostalgia, Dead End came together after a conversation Blusher had recalling each of their first nights out in a bid to escape suburban boredom. “Miranda told the story of using a fake ID to get into sticky-floored dive bars (and crying the night she got caught). We pictured a run-down club called the Dead End, where you find yourself on a Tuesday night having a terrible and fantastic time.”, they explain.

Picked up by Powerhouse Management's Jamie-Rose Fowler (George Alice, Japanese Wallpaper, INXS, ex-YUNGBLUD) & Charlotte Ried (Polish Club, Gretta Ray, Matt Corby, ex-Vera Blue), the Melbourne-based trio made a huge splash in 2022 when they released Softly Spoken, a bubbly slice of euphoric indie-pop bliss. It was the first song they ever made together and the success of the track took the trio by surprise. In Blusher’s metaphorical teen rom-com of a band, all three members are the leads. They share vocals on many of their songs and swap instruments during the live shows. They all produce and write together, utilising their individual experiences cutting their teeth as solo artists before forming the band.

By September last year, Blusher played their first show at BIGSOUND in Brisbane. They spent months in a “boot camp” of sorts with a movement coach who encouraged them to go out dancing together. The final result was a highly choreographed set that allowed them to show off their individual multitude of talents. Minutes after stepping off stage for the first time, the group signed with Atlantic Records/WMA.
