“...truly a triumph…There’s no one really doing it like HAAi right now.” – THIS SONG IS SICK
“Both on and beyond the dancefloor, [Baby, We’re Ascending is] an ascension alright” – DJ MAG
“Creator of a high-flying, vibrant electronic wonderland” – NME
"…reach the astral plane, rinse and repeat." – NYLON
London based artist, producer, and singer
HAAi – aka Teneil Throssell – today releases a new video for
“Biggest Mood Ever.” The latest single from her critically acclaimed debut album
Baby, We’re Ascending features
Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor.
Watch the “Biggest Mood Ever” video – helmed by creative partner
Tom Furse (The Horrors) –
here.
Speaking on the collaboration, Taylor says, “
Teneil & I wanted to make a song together and kept excitedly talking about it. I expected a techno banger but was so pleased that she sent this transcendental hyperballad. I went into a trance and recorded these words straight away. ‘The heart shows signs that must not be ignored.’
This song may crush you emotionally, if you are open to it.” Reflecting on the video’s creation, Furse says,
“The video was made by taking a video Alexis shot on his phone of him miming to the track and me using all manner of AI and otherwise wizardry to transform that into this psychedelic representation, telling his story of love as he drifts through and past the world.” Along with the new video, HAAi just announced a new string of U.S. tour dates with
The Blessed Madonna including shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Miami, and Denver as well as a stop at San Francisco’s Portola Festival. Additionally, HAAi will play a live headline show at London’s
EartH on November 4. See the full itinerary and purchase tickets below.
Baby, We’re Ascending is available now on limited edition splatter vinyl, limited sky blue vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. Stream and purchase the album
