Acclaimed emerging artist and songwriter Naomi Wild returns from a three-year hiatus with her highly anticipated new single “OBSESSION” via Boom.Records. “OBSESSION” embodies a palette of lush vocals and finds the rising artist exuding the utmost confidence through an authentically vulnerable and empowering lens. The breakout single received a World First premiere from Zane Lowe on his Beats1 Radio show yesterday.
Embracing a refreshed sound while diligently carving a lane for her skillful artistry, Wild’s hard work ethic and manifestations rooted her within the music industry as she meticulously worked on her craft. Having spent a majority of the past years collaborating with both rising and established artists like ODESZA (“Higher Ground”), Machine Gun Kelly (Platinum-certified song “I Think I’m OKAY” feat. Travis Barker, “Glass House”), Louis The Child (“Here Comes a Feeling”), etc., Wild has been focused on developing her pen and voice while forgoing genre, resulting in millions of streams across DSPs for her collaborations and press praise from BILLBOARD, NYLON, DIY MAG, ALTERNATIVE PRESS, and more. The fast-rising resilient artist continues to defy boundaries while reintroducing listeners to an authentically bold new chapter and providing a glimpse of what’s to come later this year.
Speaking on the song, Naomi Wild shares, “This song came from a place of trying to describe how I felt about someone, while also being pretty open and vulnerable about how unpredictable I am. Obviously, a lot of people feel like they’re ‘damaged’ to the point where they can’t be loved, or they feel like they’re too much. I kind of wanted to own that with this song. Like yea I’m needy, I don’t want you to be with anybody but me and I can be 'crazy,' but love is crazy. I just wanted to be straight up about it.”
