Hip-hop duo Atmosphere has announced a return to Colorado this summer, with a headlining performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 28 2022, along with special guests Lupe Fiasco, The Far Side (formerly of The Pharcyde), DJ Abilities, Sa-Roc and Sol Messiah.
“We’ve reached the point where I look forward to our annual Red Rocks party more than I look forward to my own birthdays,” shared Slug of Atmosphere. “Let’s get busy!”

For over two decades, Atmosphere has quietly influenced and instigated progression of hip-hop as evidenced by sales of 2 million-plus units independently and over 1 billion streams as well as widespread critical acclaim. Chicago-born, Grammy Award-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco gained national attention with his 2006 debut album Food & Liquor, helping cement a new wave of Chicago rappers in the national conversation, and changing the course of Chicago hip-hop forever. The Far Side (formerly of The Pharcyde) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Bizarre Ride II performing with original members Imani, Fatlip, Slimkid3, with DJ Abilities on the turntables.
Additionally, the legendary DJ and producer, DJ Abilities, who unveiled his long-awaited debut album Phonograph Phoenix in 2021 via Rhymesayers Entertainment, will be threading together old school basement scratching, rapturous synths, and warped loops. Rhymesayers artist Sa-Roc, once dubbed by Okayplayer as “one of the most formidable microphone mavens in the game,” will bring the crafty wordplay and razor-sharp delivery of her latest release The Sharecropper's Daughter to the stage. Last but not least, the talented and skilled DJ and producer, Sol Messiah, who spent years building an impressive catalog and established himself as a go-to producer for a wide range of acts, will be sharing his energizing spirit of hip-hop culture.
After a successful summer tour last year, Atmosphere are ready to hit the road again this summer, kicking off Memorial weekend on May 27 at California Roots Festival in Monterey, CA before headlining Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI on June 25. Then, beginning July 8 in Las Vegas, NV Atmosphere joins Iration on their co-headlining “Sunshine & Summer Nights” Tour with special guests The Grouch with DJ Fresh and Katastro for 33 tour dates, including festival stops at San Diego Bayfest, Reggae Rise Up Festival Maryland, Terptown Throwdown and Reggae on the Way in Tacoma, WA finishing out the summer with this special curated headline show August 28 at Red Rocks in beautiful Morrison, CO!
