ANNOUNCING THE FIRST ANNUAL AMERICANA WEST MUSIC FESTIVAL

The One-Night Festival Will Take Place On April 23rd At Hotel Cafe In Los Angeles

Presented by Garrison Starr, The California Country Show, Merrill Artists

 

Los Angeles, CA, March 2022— Garrison Starr, an LA based, Southern born artist and GRAMMY-nominated producer has joined forces with The California Country Show and Merrill Artists to present the inaugural Americana West Music Festival at the famed and iconic Hotel Cafe. Americana West is a music festival born in Los Angeles celebrating and empowering the eclectic roots music community.

I’ve always been proud to be among the Americana artists, working songwriters, and roots music that is so abundant here but sometimes gets left out of the conversation. I want to help shine a light on that. Eric Craig and Manda Mosher have inspired me with The California Country Show at AMERICANAFEST every year, where they do such a thoughtful and important job of bringing west coast artists to the forefront, so it seemed natural to partner up for this, alongside my dear friend and booking agent, Tommy Merrill. We are thrilled to start something new that will strengthen our bonds and our community. Now, more than ever, we need each other.”

 

The California Country Show was founded by Los Angeles native, award-winning recording and touring artist, and co-owner of Blackbird Record Label, Manda Mosher alongside Music Executive Eric Craig working in association with Producer Deb Morrison, and Dave Bernal of The California Country Show Radio Show & Podcast. The annual AMERICANFEST event continues to shine a light on the West Coast since its inception in 2016. “Through this new one-night festival in April, we are thrilled to be starting something locally that will celebrate and illuminate West Coast Americana music and artists for years to come,” stated Mosher.

 

As senior talent buyer for New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall for eight years, Tommy Merrill worked to develop the ethos, reputation, and brand of the now famed venue by working with scores of artists from the Americana community. Following his stint at Rockwood Music Hall, Tommy started Merrill Artists in 2012. With offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, and London, and through his partnership with Marshall Arts, Tommy continues to work with artists around the world to develop their careers. Merrill Artists is honored to be a part of the inaugural Americana West Music Festival.
