Producer, artist, and labelhead TOKiMONSTA has returned with a new single “Naked” feat. Channel Tres, out now via TOKiMONSTA’s own Young Art Records. On “Naked,” TOKiMONSTA delivers textured, rich production where she artfully combines sounds and feelings from a range of genres creating an entrancing groove. With the dynamic adaptability TOKiMONSTA possesses, she continues to bring out the best in her collaborators. This time, the producer/DJ/labelhead has recruited Compton tastemaker Channel Tres. On the new offering, Channel Tres brings a unique aura, strutting atop TOKIMONSTA’s production with growling vocals and an unbothered attitude. The release is accompanied by a new video that hosts an amalgamation of collaged imagery placed over a kaleidoscopic backdrop, adding to the colorful, mind, and mood-altering single. The single will be promoted via Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and showcased on their billboard in Times Square.
"Naked" comes on the heels of TOKiMONSTA’s last release "Say Yes”, a collaborative effort alongside emerging R&B duo VanJess as well as a remix of “Hell To Be You Baby” with fellow female producer and labelhead MNDR. TOKiMONSTA has continued to grow well beyond the borders of a typical producer/DJ. In January, she released her own NFT on SuperRare with popular digital artist FVCKRENDER and in March she curated and hosted a livestream event on behalf of National Women's Month. In 2020, TOKiMONSTA, released her Oasis Nocturno album which featured appearances from the likes of EARTHGANG, Jean Deaux, Dumbfoundead, and more. As she gets set to embark on her Fall “Say Yes” tour, which includes special guests Rochelle Jordan, Rush Davis & Kingdom, and Biicla, TOKi shows no signs of slowing down. You may not know what’s next but as always when it comes to TOKiMONSTA, but you can always expect the unexpected.
