Today, ATO Records released “Stay High again..” – an inspired collaboration between four-time GRAMMY winner Brittany Howard, acclaimed producer Fred again.. and Joy Anonymous. Fresh off his recent collaborations with FKA twigs, Jamie XX, Julia Michaels and Jessie ReyezFred again.. reimagines Howard’s No. 1 AAA hit as an effervescent, dancefloor-ready gem with guest vocals by Joy Anonymous and Fred again.. Listen to “Stay High again..” HERE. The song fuels an indie disco dance party in this short video, created by Fred and featuring Joy Anonymous.

“When I was approached about doing my first dance remix of a song, I was excited to give it a shot as it was something completely different than anything else that had been done for the ‘Jaime’ Remix project,” says Brittany Howard. “What Fred again.. and Joy Anonymous created from ‘Stay High’ is not only fun to dance to, it is really creative, inspired and most importantly emotional. They even figured out a way to sneak samples from two other songs off the album!”

Fred again adds, “Brittany Howard is a rare, rare specimen and it was an honour to be able to make summin like this with her. Also by quite some way the most enjoyable music video I’ve ever made.”

Howard is currently nominated for five GRAMMY Awards, bringing her total career nominations to 16, with four wins. “Stay High” – a track from her debut solo album, Jaime – is currently nominated in two GRAMMY categories: Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. Jaime has received a nod for Best Alternative Music Album while “Goat Head” is nominated for Best R&B Performance and “Short And Sweet” is up for Best American Roots Performance.

“Stay High” spent three weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart. It was Public Radio’s Most Popular Song of 2019. The New York Times it as “blissful.” Pitchfork noted, “her easygoing warmth makes ‘Stay High’ worth repeating.” NPR said, “the retro-soul stunner is one of the year’s best feel-good tunes with no shortage of depth.” Jaime was awarded four stars by Rolling StoneMOJO and Q and named the Best Album of 2019 by NPR.

“Stay High again..” is the fourth in a series of reimagined versions of songs from Jaime.  Listen to the Michael Kiwanuka mix of “13th Century Metal” HERE. Atlanta-based hip hop duo EARTHGANG remixed “Goat Head” and Bon Iver brought fresh textures to “Short and Sweet.”
